Sleek, sexy & streamilned- TOS, TMP refit, or AbramsPrise?

Done to death? Of course.
But death is just rebirth in Trekdom, right?

I vote TOSprise, from which, all other 'Prises spring from...

TOS was my first love, but I have grown to love the new Enterprise as much or more. The new E is the muscle car version and I am a car guy, so it is a good fit.:techman:

The original Enterprise is cool and all, but it's too dated for my tastes. The TMP refit never got old for me (mostly). I'm still adjusting to some of the XI Enterprise. The Bussard collectors just aren't doing it for me.

Not a big fan of the Abrams Enterprise, though I liked the movie a lot, and I'm sure the updated design will grow on me. As for the other two, the original 1701 was my "first love," but there's something so elegant and swanlike about the TMP design, so I think I might have to go with that one.

Watching the remastered episodes on Blu-Ray has renewed my love affair with the original. Anyone who says the original wouldn't hold up on the big screen just doesn't know what they're talking about. :)

The 1701R, to me, is the finest example of a science fiction spacecraft. Equal parts aesthetics and functionality -- and its lines are just gorgeous to my eye. Some people bemoan its "1970s aerodynamics," which I understand ... but IMO, you'll never find a better compromise between looks and plausibility in Sci-Fi. She's just beautiful.

Never fell in love with the TOS original, and the Abramsprise is okay from a few angles. I have a feeling I'll like it better once it gets some "weathering." Sure would like to see an Abramsprise roughed up ala TSFS. That'd be a fun project for a graphics person, I bet.

TOS Enterprise, while very much loved, was the child.
TMP refit version was after she hit puberty. A classic. I could really drool at that sight.
The Abramsprise was just the ugly cousin. Some family resemblence, but no comparison.

The new E is the muscle car version
Is it? I always see it as more of a modern sports car.

TMP is the most believable of all for me. It is also the first I ever really saw then came the TOS and I like it but it does seem as advanced as it was supposed to be.

I thought Ryan Church said the new Enterprise was meant to be a hot rod.

Anyway, having become a Trekkie due to the new film I'd say the alternate Enterprise is absolutely beautiful and graceful: I've always loved the simplicity of the Constitution class and now it seems like someone merged it with the beauty of the Sovereigns.

Even the TOS era Enterprise had several (slight) variations. I do like the newest ship, but the TMP version is the one that I've always found most asthetically pleasing.

I rank them in order:

TOS
ST XI
TMP

The ST XI seemed strange at first but it rapidly grew on me. The TMP Enterprise, it was my favourite for many years, but recently I've gone back to the TOS one (I prefer the "production" configuration of the various versions).

I like the WNMHGB version of the TOS.

Here it is folks:

Elegance & power, but a somewhat sterile & colourless execution in keeping with the style of TMP ( a movie I love BTW), however, she should have been brought back closer to her design roots for Wrath Of Khan IMO. But that DEFINITELY was not in the budget.

Just simply simple yet unique. NASA meets Forbidden Planet. The remastered seasons manifest her flawless beauty.
(Can you tell it's my hands-down favourite?)

A nice fusion of the previous two designs with some minor issues IMO. Yet, a worthy sucessor to the franchise. I have no major objections, and its design grows on me daily, just as TMP refit did back in the day.
