Skipping The Worlds of DS9 and Spirit Walk

I've always been a Chakotay fan, but felt that the series never really used him to his potential. Kirsten has done that with Full Circle and Unworthy, but Christie Golden did an ok job with him (and the rest of the crew) as well in the 4 books she did. I read the SW duology and liked it just fine, but FC and Unworthy really blew them out of the water in terms of quality. It's really a pale comparison...

Just finished Full Circle, and I'm actually glad that I made the decision to ask about the feasibility of skipping the Spirit Walk duology and the decision to go ahead and stop continually putting off reading FC. I was initially somewhat disconcerted about the constant skipping around in time that Beyer uses narratively, but it ultimately ends up working, especially once you consider the context. I especially liked the introduction of the new characters - such as Cambridge and Eden - and the way that they were kept in the background throughout the novel, even when they really had no major stake in what was going on.
