Skipping episodes

Whenever I rewatch Voyager there are episodes I usually skip. What are episodes you skip during a rewatch?

For me...
Heroes and demons
Cathexis
Elogium
Non sequitor
Parturition
Persistance of vision
Tattoo
Cold fire
Sacred Ground
Warlord
Favorite son
Unforgettable
The Fight
11:59
Good shepherd

Ok wow i didn't realize how many

That's my list as well, except Sacred Ground and The Fight I like.
And since I'm already 'nuts' I admit I don't watch Course oblivion nor that evil Kes episode.

Yikes, my list is longer than I thought:
(continued)

Author Author
Fury
Live Fast and Prosper
Alice

my list would be
Heroes and Demons
Elogium
Persistence of vision
Blood fever
darkling
Real Life
The Fight
Barge of the dead

Well, I tend to skip all episodes staring in particular Chakotay & the Doctor (I know, I know but you won't change me! ;-). To this, I would add some episodes turning around the

B'Elena Torres
- “Blood Fever”
- “Day of Honor”
- “Barge of the Dead”
- "Muse"

Harry Kim:
- "The Disease"
- "Non Sequitur"
- "Nightingale"
- "The Chute"

Hard to say right now since I am only on my first series rewatch... so I won't skip any this time around.

Other eps lower on my list that would be possible skips for future rewatches:
Resolutions (I might get flak for that one, but I hate the monkey and the whole ep seems like a tease with no real resolution)
Favorite Son- a disappointment partly because I liked The Thaw and this one is helmed by the same guy. My least fav character gets the center stage in an ep that I found borderline laughable in its ridiculousness. It's dumb in a way that even Threshold wasn't dumb... in my opinion. ;)
11:59 (possible, even though I love Janeway her family history was made incredibly B-O-R-I-N-G by TPTB)
Haunting of Deck 12 (maybe- I'll know after I rewatch it first time)
Spirit Folk (Fair Haven amused me, but this one didn't do much for me)
Fury- probably for the same reason(s) that others would also skip this one. Tuvok's cake looked the bomb though.
Good Shepherd (ho hum on the ho-hummers... in other words the slackers on VOY bore me a bit, plus at least one them was a j-hole on top of that)
the one with Flotter (sorry Lynx! ...but I do love Naomi)- can't say I was bored with this one per se, but it wasn't amongst my favorites. Maybe I wouldn't actually skip it. I'll find out by the end of the summer or thereabouts.

Season 4 I can't see a single ep I'd be likely to skip (though I can understand why you'd pass on Unforgettable).

...really I found this show to be pretty consistently good from start to finish, I'd probably skip a total of 5 eps or fewer overall. Aside from season 1 and early season 2, when the footing maybe wasn't fully established, the only faltering moments for me were mid or later in season 6 and a bit in season 7 (too much of the Doc and not enough Janeway). That isn't to say there are hit-or-miss eps in other areas (season 5 fore example, is one of my 2 favorites, but it has more eps I'd be likely to skip as well).

This is an interesting subject, but I'd find it much more interesting if people were providing rationales as to why they were skipping the episodes they're skipping. It's one thing to skip an episode because you think it's dreck, and quite another to skip an episode because you find it too painful to rewatch.

That's a good point. I'm going to edit my list with some reasons

"Threshold" because it's dreck that is too painful to rewatch.

I don't have time to go deep with my thoughts so here's the abridged version:

Author Author-boring, cringy lines, and Measure of a Man was better.

Fury. I've seen 'back in time' episodes far better. It looks thrown together. Interesting idea but not enough to keep me watching.

Live Fast and Prosper. Some people saw the fun in this. I didn't. Seemed like distraction of the week. YAWN.

Alice Meh, Tom centered episodes don't do it for me. I'd rather watch Threshold. (yea, I said it)

Heroes and demons I do rewatch but I don't go out of my way to rewatch. In other words, maybe once every 7 years ;) It's just kind of dull

Cathexis--the only thing good about this episode was Chak/Janeway back handing Tuvok. I kept laughing instead of being horrified. Fail.

Elogium- Reproductive idea gone bad.

Non sequitor--BORING

Parturition --I can't even remember the premise.

Persistance of vision--awkward

Tattoo--boring and the pasty white aliens with ugly pajamas seemingly no technology that got them there? I want to see their bad-ass nature inspired ships. Anything. I don't know.

Cold fire--Cartoon villain-ish.

Favorite son--It's a Kim episode. And a creepy one.

Unforgettable ---It's in the title.

Good shepherd--A little too late.

I may have some sort of as yet unrealized appreciation for it when I rewatch. As of right now I can't recall it well enough to know whether I'd skip it! :)
I will admit, when I watched it through the first time. I wasn't impressed. I took "my" show way too seriously to appreciate episodes like this. Either people liked it, or they didn't

Kes eating a bunch of weird crap and generally being... weird. Even for Kes. ;)
Come to think of it I might skip that one as well.

edit: maybe that was Elogium. Now I can't remember.Talk about Unforgettable. :P

Yes that was elogium

Parturition is where tom and neelix have a food fight over kes then have to go on an away mission together

Thanks for the memory jog. I might skip both of those then on rewatch since I now recall Parturition a little more clearly.
