Sinus surgery?

Guys,

It's so damn annoying that I got running nose that will not stop running! Feeling like I got water in my nose. I suffered for this since I was young of that age.

As of today, I'm fed up with my nose and want a new lease of my life. Is it reasonable for me to speaking with my doctor about having this sinus surgery?

I have a question: Did you ever had the sinus surgery? If that so, when?

That would be helpful to understand what I've been through with my running nose. I'm hurrying to find a love, but I will not have running nose get in my way.

Please help.

In my teenage years, I often had sinus trouble. Frequently returning pain, but never any running. Catch a cold and my sinus pain would be by far my most suffered symptom of the virus. I once described it like a kilo weight hanging from a steel wire that was threaded through my neck and stapled into the tissues in my face. If I had caught a cold, Id have to suffer this pain constantly day and night for a week. No sleep. Many tears.

Since I became vegan in my late teens, that pain is no more. Unless somebody feeds me something with milk content (against my chosen diet), and the chances are I'll know :)

I had sinus surgery in 5th grade. While my headaches have decreased since then, they haven't abated entirely; they didn't do quite as good a job as they could have.

I had sinus surgery when I was very young, to inflate a collapsed sinus. I really don't remember it much, but my mother said it was a generally positive experience, relieving a lot of pain I'd suffered since I was a baby. I think it's reasonable to question your doctor about treatment options, including surgery. If it's having such a negative impact on your life you should do what you can to alleviate the symptoms.

It is interesting what diet can do for one's health, isn't it?! My younger sister used to suffer from such terrible eczema that she was always covered with huge, open wounds. On her legs and back there one would be pressed to find an inch of flesh that wasn't affected, with some of the wounds bigger than fifty cent pieces. Her ears and neck were so bad that we had to bleach her pillow case every day because it would be stained with blood come morning. We used to fear she'd get MRSA. We took her to specialist after specialist, who prescribed steroids, creams, oatmeal baths, emu oil -- but nothing worked. Then, in her late teens she became vegan, and within two weeks the eczema had almost completely disappeared. It's been a few years now, and aside from occasional dryness, there's nothing left of her skin condition.

Supreme Admiral, why do you think you need surgery? Have you spoken to a doctor to rule out allergies?

I've had a lot of sinus troubles over the years. When I was a kid, I suffered such frequent nosebleeds that the doctor cauterized my sinuses; that decreased, but did not stop, the bleeding. I still had fairly frequent nosebleeds until I was in my 30s, when they mysteriously stopped.

I also had frequent bad sinus headaches for most of my life. I think there was a stress component, though, because they've practically disappeared since I changed jobs. :D
