Since we're on the subject... (Help me name my baby)

CaptainHawk1

Commodore
Here's the deal. My baby boy will be born on March 17, 2009 and unlike my daughter, Hailey, we've had a hard time naming him. I originally wanted Robert Patrick after my father and my father-in-law but my wife said no after first agreeing. Next we were going to use Shawn Robert or Shawn Michael (Michael is her brother) and she changed her mind on that one.

Then she got it in her head that she wanted him to have an name beginning with "H" like his sister. So she came up with Harrison Michael (She was not amused by my suggestions of Harcourt Fenton or Horatio Hornblower) and I don't like the name Harrison nor does anyone else in the family but nobody can come up with anything better and I'll just agree with it if that's what we're left with.

So I'm asking for your help. Come up with a first name for me. See if you can come up with something Irish or beginning with an "H" or both and keep in mind that the middle name will be Michael. Also, if you just come up with a cool sounding name regardless of the prerequisites, that would be cool too.

Thanks in advance.

Harrison ain't bad, but you're the one gonna be yelling it for the next 20 years so don't cave if you don't like it.

Henry.

I like Harrison, too. Why were you keen on Harcourt or Horatio, but not Harrison? You one o' them Star Wars hatin' Trekkies? :p

Something to think about before you call your son a name beginning with the same letter as your daughter - are you thinking of having any more children? If you are, then you're either going to have to deal with there being two children of the same sax with the same initial (and trust me, that causes fights over the mail box at Christmas - my two sisters share an initial!) or the poor kid is going to have to put up with everyone asking 'how come your name doesn't begin with H?' its entire life.

Having said all that, I like "Henry".

Seymour Horace.

My mom loved to tell the story of how, when she was deciding what to name my brother, I inisisted on calling him that, and would cry because she wouldn't do it.
