"Similitude" : Line-By-Line!

Archer: My main concern is that this plan works. If we don't make it out of here in the next 6 hours, it won't matter if Trip survives or not. We'll all be dead.

Panning shot on the bridge. Starts with Hoshi busy at her station before moving on to focus on T'Pol, then Archer sharply rising out of the Captain's chair.

Sim: (voice only at first... he's out of shot, sat over at Malcolm's tactical console)

"I've realigned the targeting scanners. They're set for close proximity."

Captain Archer nods in Sim's direction, who activates the phase cannons.

Outside orangey red beams strike the particulate matter built up over the bay, before ceasing fire moments later.

Archer: (to T'Pol) "Try the doors".

T'Pol: They're still frozen.

Phase Cannons fire again, clearing more debris and the doors open.

Slowly each of the hangar bay doors part.

Archer: (reaching down to press a button on the arm rest)

"Archer to shuttlepods one and two.

You are clear to launch."

Reed is at the controls of the first and Mayweather at the other.

Mayweather: "Shuttlepod Two. Acknowledged."

Shuttlepods One and Two head out.

On the bridge, Archer glances at the viewscreen before shooting Sim a pensive look.

A grappling hook reaches out and attaches to the hull of the NX-01. We zoom out as the line is pulled taught, seeing a shuttlepod on the opposite end. Its sister craft is doing exactly the same over on the other side. Their rear thrusters begin to glow, overburning in an attempt to tug the stricken vessel forward. The Enterprise is only really recognisable from its outline. Caked in so much magnetically attracted matter, it looks like a full scale sculpture carved from rock.

Both Shuttlepod rear engines glow fiercely, as the grappling cables begin to creak under the strain.

Malcolm: "One thousand kilodynes."

On the viewscreen, both pods are buffeted around by drifting clouds of particles, all the while tethered to the Enterprise.

Archer: (closing in, urging them on under his breath)

"Come on."
