Silly question: Seven

diankra

Rear Admiral
Rear Admiral
At no point in Picard is there any mention of her having to recharge, as she did in Voyager. Found a way round it?

It was stated in voyager that she would only need to use the alcove until her own metabolism recovered.

clearly that has happened by now and she no longer needs the mechanical supplement recovery

Regeneration is not (only) recharging her "batteries" its about realigning her wonky wound down systems.

Its like tightening your nuts, when the wheels on your car come loose.

The alcove was introduced as a temporary restriction. It only stuck around as long as it did because it was "a Seven thing".

Didn't she start sleeping without regenerating near the end of Voyager?

That was frakking.

The Doctor did brain surgery on Seven so that she could orgasm without dying in the final episode.

You'd have to wonder if anyone had talked to her about self pleasure in the last four years?

Orgasm followed by death in season 5.

Wait!

Didn't she sleep in the forest when she was trapped under that shield with Chakotay BEFORE they started playing assimilation games?

Were they cuddling?

There could be any number of medical or technological reasons why Seven can do without her regenerative alcove by "Picard".

Half her brain is missing, replaced by Borg tech.

We saw a cross section of what was left of her brain in Timeless.

That needs some monitoring.

To be fair, Hugh could be recharged from a wall socket when in the brig of the Enterprise-D. Maybe Voyager didn't have its universal travel adapters with the Borg-spec plug on them, but now that she's back in the Alpha Quadrant, she could use even EU-style CEE 7 standard sockets if she wished.

Regeneration is not strictly recharging, its also regulation. Her meat and electrics both need constant fine tuning, or they grind to a halt.

In Greg Cox's novel where she met Kirk, Seven was worried about dying, and less worried about breaking the Temporal Prime Directive if she built an alcove on the original Enterprise.
