I gave up on a lot last season -
FlashForward,
Grey's Anatomy and
Private Practice, Stargate Universe (watched the first 5 episodes and hated every SINGLE character on the show - god, they were awful!),
Brothers & Sisters (which I was really watching on DVD, so the previous season is to blame), and
NCIS:LA.
I only halfway watched
Caprica - the only character I really like is Adama's dad. But I might keep trying to watch that since I love the BSG universe so much and WANT to like that show perhaps more than I want to like any show on TV.
Gave up on
Heroes during S2, so didn't waste 3 years of my life on that travesty, thank goodness. And I have only seen snippets of
V - none of which made me really eager to watch more of it.
So the only shows I have left now that
LOST is over and
Cold Case is canceled are
Castle, and
NCIS. Two shows. Wow.

I also watch
Dexter, but watch it on DVD a season behind...and it takes me all of a week to watch each season. Whoopee!
Because of the lack of stuff worth watching, I am thinking about giving
NCIS: LA another try. I at least like two of those characters (Chris O'Donnell's character and LL Cool J's character) so even though I don't think I will ever like it as much as I like NCIS, it is certainly better than alot of the other crap currently on.
I am also going to try out
True Blood on DVD. And for lack of anything better to do, I am also thinking about watching
Law & Order: SVU again - at least part of the time. I was long ago bored with the L&O format..but I really like watching Olivia and Elliott as characters. And Munch too, if he is still on there. Is he still on there?
I'll keep watching my summer shows and funky season shows -
Burn Notice, Eureka, and
In Plain Sight. But the fall season is looking pretty grim for me - two shows I genuinely like (Castle, NCIS), one that I am forcing myself to watch because I love the universe, if not the characters (Caprica) and two I previously gave up on but am going to try again for lack of anything better to do (NCIS: LA, L&O: SVU). How sad is that?
