Shows you barely like?

I disagree, I thought the topic was shows we barely liked, including shows we had watched at one time.

Then you must not have read the OP's original post:
You watch them out of habit or boredom or because there might be a actor you like but not much else.

Among other things, note the present tense.

I'm not sure how binding these rules are. Anyway, lots of other people are discussing shows they used to watch.

Doctor Who and Power Rangers Samurai.

Moffat's and RTD's Who just doesn't work for me. Oddly enough it was the 2005 series that introduced me to the show, but it was the classic series that I fell in love with. I watch the modern Doctor Who just because it's connected to the old one, but I can't think of a single episode outside of Blink that I've really enjoyed in Modern Who.

Power Rangers Samurai is crap by Power Rangers standards, but they brought back Bulk as a main character. I may dislike the show, but I'll be damned if I'm going to miss even one minute of the awesomeness that is Bulk.

Terranova just started here in Australia...I watched 15 minutes and hated it...in my opinion its a jumped up version of Avatar and Jurassic Park. Steven Spielberg and Brannon Braga you should both be ashamed of yourselves!!

I'm pretty sure Braga had his shame surgically removed shortly before assuming the head writer job on Star Trek: Voyager.

Power Rangers Samurai is crap by Power Rangers standards, but they brought back Bulk as a main character. I may dislike the show, but I'll be damned if I'm going to miss even one minute of the awesomeness that is Bulk.

They did? Really? Sweet!:techman:

Law & Order: SVU is rapidly approaching such for me. Last year was a little border-line, but Benson and Stabler kept me hooked. Without such... sigh.

I think SVU has jumped the shark. I don't much care for those two rookies. And Benson needs to shut the fuck up and stop whining like a baby.

I like the show, and will watch it till the end, but I just don't see it lasting longer than this season.

Yeah, I definately get that feeling. Every time those rookies are on screen, I keep thinking of Doggett & Reyes from The X-Files. (Why don't they just do what the fans have been begging for for the last several seasons and actually give Munch more screentime!?!?!?! :( )

After the 3rd season of Battlestar Galactica, I realized that I absolutely hated the show and hated nearly all of the characters on it. I despise Starbuck with the passion of a thousand suns and was furious that she didn't stay dead. Apollo was a decent character but ruined by the tedious will they/won't they between him & Starbuck. Laura Roslin was a self-righteous bitch. I could never be bothered to be interested in Helo or Boomer/Athena. I kinda liked Sam Anders. I liked Chief Tyrol until Cally died, then he became an asshole just like all the others. I went through phases of liking & hating Col. Tigh (although I had a lot more sympathy for him after the New Caprica arc). But really, the only thing that kept me going was needing to see what happened to Baltar. Yes, he was an asshole, but he seemed to be the only character on the show who realized that he was an asshole.

I only kept watching Stargate Universe & Torchwood: Miracle Day because of the name brands. I can't come up with any other reasons to stick with SGU, although I do like Dr. Rush. I seem to have a soft spot for asshole scientists.

Torchwood: Miracle Day had some good ideas for about the 1st 5 episodes. It wasn't quite as taut & exciting as "Children of Earth" but it felt like it was going somewhere. Then things seemed to fall apart in episode 6 and we were subjected to a bunch of filler episodes and new characters introduced only to be written off an episode later for no reason. The Oswald Danes story went absolutely nowhere. And while "Immortal Sins" was generally a good episode and felt more like old-school Torchwood, the graphic gay sex just kinda made me & my friends mentally tune out of the show. While we still watched it, we no longer cared. It was just an excuse to get together each week and a way to take advantage of the free STARZ trial.

The Footy Show on Thursday night. They only talk to someone from my team about once a year, they do too much bullshit and no longer do a decent wrap up of what happened on the weekend, but they do have odd sketches from time to time that are very good, currently its their Moi Moi specials. I hang out off that and than switch off. I've also farmed off some of my viewing to their One competition, which sticks more to the sport instead of stunts.

NCIS went that way for me last season and even stopped adding the DVDs to my collection. However, I've enjoyed this season's start a lot more and if it continues I might like this show enough to spend money on it again.
