Ok, this is bugging me. Was it destroyed or not? It was mentioned that it was incinerated during the fight with the Hirogen in Destiny and then it's in his ready room during Losing the Peace... what gives?

Did I miss it? What page? I just re-read the description of the ready room and I still don't see it.

I'll have to check later, but I"m sure he's either looking atit or playing it in Losing the Peace.
Actually, it's the other way around - the flute was depicted as having not been in the ready room when it was set alight, as Picard had it in his quarters in Lost Souls (pp. 354-355); but Bill Leisner noted it amongst those possessions that had been destroyed in the fire in Losing... (p.77)
It's been acknowledged as an error, but I don't think it's been stated whether the flute is now down as having survived or not.
Maybe he just salvaged it from the wreckage...and had the replicator repair it, or something....
