Should they use the 1982 Kobayashi Maru distress call?

Hey, wanted to start one of these dumb threads while at the same time wondering if anyone thinks it might be a good idea to reuse it (watching TWOK for grins and to remember the loss of De Kelley 9 years ago today at the moment)! :)

Oh, it would be cool if the ORIGINAL Kobayashi Maru (as a real mission) was shown!

That would be WAY SUPER FLYING COOL! ;)

Since it seems likely they'll address Kirk's test (at least ONE of this three attempts, anyway) it might be fun if they DID reuse the audio.

Not a necessity, but still, a fun callback, IMO. :)

I wonder if they will show Kirk taking it multiple times? Because of time restraints, they might only show the one where he cheated.

Thanks for reminding me of the dangers of using the "it" pronoun sometimes!

They may show his first unsuccessful attempt, then reference him trying again and failing. Then he comes up with a plan to cheat. I think he needs to fail in order to realize the nature of the test.

I was thinking something similar...a full first attempt (it only takes a couple of minutes of screentime), a "YOU FAIL" second attempt or somethng like that, just a few words...and THEN the cheat and commendation. And honestly? The first attempt should include an echo of Saavik's "Damn...the neutral zone!"

IF they keep it at all.
