Should they have made movies about the DS9, Voyager or Enterprise Crews?

I would've loved to have seen Odo in a gritty sci-fi noir detective film.
They could never afford all those contracts. It could never happen. Boring answer, but the truth.

But, as much as the Next Gen movies came to be about Picard and Data, they'd have to share screen time for the Doctor and Seven show that was VOY, and that's also while making screen time for Shatner and Nimoy. Not to mention Avery Brooks and Nana Visitor and Scott Bakula and Jolene Blalock. And that's not even counting their crews and potential villains. The movie would have been a bloated mess that would have collapsed under everybody's egos, jockeying for top billing.

Each series got an ending, even Enterprise, though it deserved a better one. I think the greater audience with done with Trek at that point.
IF somehow nostalgia and a new generation of viewers gave a lot of new interest in DS9, and someone wrote a hell of a script for it, I could see a one-off Ds9 movie happening, but that's such an unlikely combinations of what-ifs, i doubt it would happen. I can't see any further Voyager stories. as much as I like Enterprise, I don't think it had enough viewers to sustain enough interest in that. If it was going to be brought back, it would have by now.

I had an idea of adapting the “All Mighty Intruder (TM)” idea for a DS9 movie that would have brought the crew back together, but nah...Nobody would really want that...
For VOY, I can see a way to bring some of her crew back, but not the whole crew...

No public interest. DS9, VOY and ENT never became significant parts of popular culture like TOS, and unlike TOS, I seriously doubt anyone on the street would be able to name any of the characters or their most "popular" storylines, and that's the biggest red flag for failure a studio would ever need to veto the idea.
That would end quickly as soon as Q saw Sisko cracking his knuckles and limbering up for another swing
I would of loved movies for any of them. I kind of hope that CBS is smart and starts bringing them back in a small way. I could easily see them getting the TNG crew together for one more season. Like a mini series. Or even just re-launching Enterprise. That's a dream world and CBS probably hate me so they won't.
DS9, VOY & ENT wouldn't have translated well into movie format. Over half of the STAR TREK movies already out suck, as it is ...
Not sure what's weirder: That you made an XFL reference or that I, a Brit who's never seen an entire American football game in my life, knew it was an XFL reference.
At the time, I wouldn't minded a movie that mix and matched various characters from all of the 24th Century shows, and gave them interactions and missions and team ups that the shows would never have done.
Would have made it even better if they had used Generations to bring Kirk into the 24th century, with Scotty and Spock, and mixed them in as well - Star Trek FRANCHISE movies instead of series movies. No need to switch from TOS to TNG for the movies if the entire toybox was in play.

That's why Federation would have been the perfect novel to adapt to a movie. It has TOS, TNG, Zephram Cochrane, and an afterward that would be the perfect jumping off point for a post-25th century series where they could pretty much change whatever they wanted, since enough time would have elapsed to make such changes plausible.
The Opening Chapter of Season 6 and the Final Chapter in Season 7 covered what I would've wanted to see from a DS9 film series much better and in much more detail than any movies would've.
For a DS9 movie, circa the early-2000s, you'd have to get the general audience up-to-speed on a series-long story that literally just wrapped up. "The story's over! So here's the story!" Then continue on and hope that the quick recap would be enough to get them invested in the story. And, of course, that quick recap wouldn't be anywhere near enough.
"These are the Bajorans! These are the Cardassians! This is the Federation at Deep Space Nine, a former Cardassian station! This is Sisko! This is Sisko's family! Sisko is gone! He's with the Prophets! These are who the Prophets are! This is who the Pah'Wraiths are! This is who Dukat is! This is Odo! Odo's with the Dominion now! This is who the Dominion are! Jem'Hadar! Vorta! Founders! This is the war the Federation just fought with the Dominion with the Klingons and the Romulans on their side! Oh, the Cardassians joined the Dominion, then betrayed them and now they're in ruins!" "And now our story continues!"
Yeah. So, this is too much to recap for someone who's never seen the show before or stopped watching in the first season. Way, way, way too much. To them, it would feel more like going to school than watching a movie. And this is before whatever the story for the movie would be even starts.
So, no, a DS9 movie would not be feasible at all. Now, let's say they'd gone ahead and made one in the early-2000s anyway. It would most likely follow the same popcorn blockbuster format as the TNG movies. Some one-liners, Sisko's back in action like nothing happened, they defeat some enemy with lots of explosions, Bajor gets into the Federation, The End. Or, you get a stand-alone story, ala The X-Files with 2008's "I Want to Believe" that has nothing to do with anything and DS9 fans do not want a story that has nothing to do with anything.
The better option (in the early-2000s if you were going to do this at all) would've been to do a VOY movie. Except the ship already came home. The end of the story is that they find their way home. You could do an Aftermath Story but that's better suited for television. You could do a VOY movie where the crew just stays together and goes off on new adventures but, with them in the Alpha Quadrant, you've lost what made VOY distinctive.
BUT you definitely could've done a great stand-alone VOY film with the right story, regardless of whether or not it was in the Alpha Quadrant or the Delta Quadrant. The unknown is the unknown. An adventure is an adventure. How many people would've actually gone to see it is another story. But I would've. By that point, I'll go so far as to say I would've preferred a Voyager Movie over a TNG Movie.

Especially considering ENT didn't go the full seven seasons. So, if ENT were to have ended in 2008, for instance, that would've taken us to the time where CBS and Paramount would've wanted there own separate versions of Star Trek, the same as today.

With DS9, to put it into a less wordy way: if you wanted to get someone into DS9, would you want to do it by showing them the very last episode first? Probably not. I wouldn't. With a DS9 movie, that's exactly what you'd be doing. "Here's what happened in the last episode at the very end of the series! Got all that? No? What, you've never even seen the beginning?! Whatever. Ready or not, here we go, it's on with the story! Buy your ticket!"
I really don't know why a Star Wars style text crawl explaining the basic plot, and throwing the characters into an adventure, wouldn't have been straight forward enough. That being said, I never expected a DS9 movie, and never gave it any thought. The best way of going about it would have been using Generations to leave the TOS crew in the 24th Century and start doing Franchise Movies by mix and matching any and all characters from the 4 series.
