Should the USS Discovery (NCC-1031-A) be decommissioned following the events of Season Five? Assuming its not destroyed and or abandoned like seen in Calypso.

Should the USS Discovery (NCC-1031-A) be decommissioned following the events of Season Five?
Why? In relative terms it's only been in service for five years and two years ago was refitted to modern standards. Even by the precedent that's been established in S3 of Picard, that's way too early to be decommissioned.

And besides, Starfleet must eventually learn the short lifespans ships seem to have in the late 24th/early 25th centuries is hella impractical. After all, they're only on Voyager J in the 32nd century. If every Voyager only lasted a decade or so, they'd have run out of the alphabet in the first half of the 27th century.

Highly, highly doubtful the ship will be decommissioned. Unless it gets badly, badly damaged. If they knew it was the last season, it could've happened. But they didn't, so it probably wasn't. So I think Discovery will survive and not be decommissioned. I stand by what I've said before, it'll make a guest-appearance in SFA. It'll also probably be part of a TV Movie. Obviously not Section 31 (unless it's through flashbacks), but in a future TV Movie.
