Should the uniforms have been green?

Gotham Central

Given that the original uniforms were actually green but filmed as gold, should they have tried to stick to the original concept?

The intent was for the uniforms to be gold

Indeed. If the intent was for the uniforms to be green, they would've been green. It's not like green was an unfilmable color in 1966.

Hell green uniforms where even filmed. Kirks wraparound was clearly green compared to the avocado color of the crew uniforms.

Even in the TOS forum this goes back and forth but the fact is, while it may have been green it filmed gold, and when they later changed the material of the tunic in season three, they made sure to replicate the gold color.

And likewise when TNG came around, again the gold color was kept.

Well, The uniforms in the second pilot (as well as Spock's face in the first scene) were green, perhaps that's where this comes from!
