Should Star Trek XI be pushed back another 92 years?

I don't think this film should ever be released!

It's been made and every one who made it has gone out of their way to talk about how incredibly awesome it is and how true to the spirit of Star Trek it is and that's good enough for me.

Nimoy came out of retirement to play Spock one last time!!

This is truly a film for the ages and should be seen by no one!!

Seeing it will only let some people down. It will never live up to its hype. Please don't see it. Don't show it. Just keep telling people how incredibly amazing it is and how huge the scope of it is. The rampant speculation alone is well worth the $260,000,000,000,000,000.99 they paid to make this epic Trek picture. I feel that money has already been well spent.

So please JJ.. Make sure this film stays true to the legend and becomes truly legendary as the one and only film to break all records in movie making history as the first True Trek film of our generation that has never been seen by a single Trek fan!!

This will make you a living legend in my eye and I will worship at your altar until I spit my last dying breath.

Do it.

Do the Right Thing.

Of course, in 2101 those untouched tribes will all live in robot houses, and hunt their prey on hoverboards using laser-guided electromagnetic duo-tronic spears.
I WANT TO SEE THAT!

Dammit, I want to cryogenically freeze myself so I CAN HAVE A DUO-TRONIC SPEAR OF MY VERY OWN after the cyber-doctors re-confoobulate my existence in the Podule Of Medical Science where my frozen form will have lain dormant during the Interim Of Nasty Wars That Nearly Destroy Humanity.

(Anyone who mentions Episode one of Futurama gets a withering glare and a hot soup enema).

:D

Don't argue, ok? Not everything needs to be a huge ass conspiracy.
I can guarantee you that the board owners aren't going to want those words on the front page tag cloud. That's it. There is no other explanation and nothing else needs to be removed as a tag.

Yes. The Tag Cloud is so useful as to restrict what anyone says in a post, simply to keep it clean.

Perhaps by getting rid of the stupid thing (since it's clumsy, ugly & pointless anyway), people could have more freedom to post.

I'm shocked that I've already offended someone again so soon!

In that case, you will definitely need to remove "a little cogless please" and "dude ain't funny anymore", as those tags were clearly intended to troll me directly, as opposed to the randomly obnoxious words I chose, which were meant to be humorous and outrageous, while not trolling anyone specifically or directly.

Strange that I should have to explain that.

Got it. Open season on Cogley. :techman:

Fair enough.
*Runs out to buy laser-guided electromagnetic duo-tronic spear & hoverboard. I'm gonna bag me a Cogley this season!* :guffaw:
Hey Mod: Is there an approved list of Cogley bashing tags or do I just wing it? :alienblush:

Someone had the good sense to remove the offending tags (thank you, by the way, whomever you are), so the 'huge ass conspiracy' is now officially over.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled nonsense, already in progress...

I prefer my nonsense to be unscheduled, delivered to me as a gasp-inducing smack upside the head is delivered to the unsuspecting. For only then do we truly feel alive!

Yeah, I don't know where I'm going with this...

:D

J-Lo has a huge ass.
She was in a Kevin Smith film.
Smith has seen a cut of Star Trek XI.

J-LO'S ASS PLAYS THE MOON IN THE FILM!

Plus, her dress was tucked into her knickers and nobody wants to see that, right? Right? Oh, please yourselves...

:D

I THINK it should be released tomorrow, with unfinished special effects, no press and at the end the words "THIS IS THE THE END OF STAR TREK FOREVER, BYE, HAHAHA" pop up on screen over Kirk's face, in three theatres, for nineteen minutes.

I don't think moving the release date to 1/7/01 is a good idea, especially with the sequel to Lord of the Rings and the remake of Deep Throat scheduled for the same weekend. I doubt if Paramount would do it.

Hmmm... that's not how I heard it. I was under the impression that the sequel to "Lord of the Rings" was being COMBINED with the remake of "Deep Throat," with lots of hot, sweaty elven babes...

And now I find my information is in dispute? Damn!

If Skiffy was in charge of STXI's release date they would totally get behind this. Given their scheduling habits with BSG, they'd probably push it back to 2201. Then it would like, be in the 23rd century and stuff. Synergy and all that.

Now that I've got to see. Hopefully they will release it sooner than that. In 92 years I may lose interest (at least in the Deep Throat part).
