Should Shatner be balding, with white hair, in ST12??

I don't see any reason for Shatner to be in STXII. Nimoy was there to pass the torch from the old timeline to the new. It was cool, but enough of that. Now they are on their own. Why bring up the Shat again? I don't think people are very interested in what haircut he should have given that he just doesn't belong in the new movie.

Considering the attitude he has, I don't think he should be in it at all, but I wont be surprised if he is. My main objection, is that anything they'd do, especially if he plays an older version of Kirk, sounds like a rehash of what they did with Nimoy, not to mention the fact that Kirk is supposed to be dead unless the Nexsus somehow comes into play here, but that doesn't sound to good either.

I just imagine, if Shatner will act as the old Kirk, what will the Chris Pein Kirk react in the movie?

"holy god, I will be this fat in the future?"

or Kirk's girl will say like this :

"This fat man is you in the future?" and she'll left Kirk because of the ugly Old Kirk

Quinto is passable as a young Nimoy, but there is no way I would buy ol'Bill as elder Pine. It would take a Doctor Whovian regeneration to make that work. So I hope hes not in it at all.

But if he is, he should keep his wig or his plugs or whatever that is that he has now.

There will be no more time travel or alternate timelines with cameos etc, so don't even worry about it. The new franchise is established with help from the Spock time travel story, and now it's going to go on on its own merits. At least not for the second one.... MAYBE if theres a third.

Have him be an old Hologram with hair. Nobody goes bald in the future if they don't want to. He could have future knowledge that the Younger Kirk does not have. who is right or wrong.
