Should Rick Berman make a cameo appearance?

Sure, bring it on! Berman AND Tom Cruise can both appear as redshirts that get killed off within minutes of beaming down in a landing team with Kirk, Spock and McCoy. It would bring down the house!

I think everyone involved with Star Trek since 1964 should have a cameo..

I will sooooo boycott this film if Ernie Haller, Jr. doesn't get some facetime.

Maybe there could be a statue of Rick Berman at Starfleet Academy, and the graduating class could tear it down, a la the toppling of Saddam's statue in Baghdad.

Works on a couple of levels. :techman:

Only if he dies a horrible death. Final words: "I am very pleased..." WHAM!

Seriously, that would be a nice little Valentine for the fans. :D That's it! He's crushed by a gigantic valentine-shaped asteroid.

:guffaw::guffaw::guffaw: I've never been a "Berman-hater" but this is a very funny mental image.

I can see it now... a group of admirals led by Admiral Berman hails Captain Kirk at the end of his mission. "We're all very pleased...."

Actually I would kind of like a brief cameo appearance by Berman (or some other significant figure from the modern Trek series for that matter). Very much like Leonard Nimoy has some kind of "passing the torch" function for TOS and the new movie, some modern Trek guy could do the same for the new movie and the modern series. It'd be nice. I'm not sure if it has to be Berman, though. Maybe Ira Behr or (dare I mention him) Brannon Braga.

But mind you, that's not to say it is a must. ;)
