Should Kylo Ren have picked a better Sith to idolize?

Oh, yeah. Forgot about Grievous. He had very few organic parts left by his end. I suppose other unseen battles Vader fought could have cost him more of his original self.

I never understood why anyone thought Vader's uniform was empty. He died on screen, did not vanish, and it is clear the suit is not some flat, loose pile of clothes and armor. The fact Obi-Wan and Yoda vanished at "death" but Vader/Anankin (or Jinn, for that matter) did not is just bad piece of inconsistency in the stories.
And also matters little in the overall impact of the story.

Him being family is certainly the key point. Though still a major factor must be that there's simply not all that much else to idolize when it comes to Sith Lords. Every major player since Bane has operated in secrecy and one can imagine the previous Sith Lords have long since entered the realm of myth and stories. One assumes the Jedi confiscated or destroyed the bulk of Sith artefacts after the dark age and the reformation of the Republic. It'd almost be like idolizing a fictional character. Not inconceivable, but a bit unnecessary when one of them was your damn grandfather!

As for the mystery of the disappearing corpse, it's a bit of an academic discussion considering the suit really *was* empty when they burned it filming the scene. That is unless anyone is supposing they cremated Prowse or Shaw? Even method actors only go so far. ;)
