(I've yet to find a scented candle that doesn't smell "artificially sharp")
I had one that smelled like fresh cookies for a while. That was actually quite pleasant.
Although it did get annoying after a while that there weren't any actual fresh cookies around.
Oh you just reminded me ~ we had a 99p
I would agree with some of the folks here advocating a more proactive approach than masking one scent with another one.
I've used some "Clean Shower" spray to keep down on the mildew and algae; just spray it on after each shower and leave it.Yeah, I just recently bleached all of the slowly darkening areas in my shower. Looks a lot better now.
I live in an apartment, if you've ever lived in one you know they can easily smell like odd things. The trashcan that's not-yet full but has de-composing food in it, it can smell like the dinner you cooked two nights ago, apartments can just smell... odd.
So I think I need to buy a scented candle or something.
What do you think?
It does.
It does.
Dude, you're British, too? I didn't know that.
Cherrio, tut tut and all that rot, old fellow. Tally ho!
Did someone ruin them with the old "If you say everything's 99p, then I'll buy everything here for 99p" loophole trick?Oh you just reminded me ~ we had a 99p shop in town last year that had the best scented candles... winterberry, chocolate, mistletoe and more *gazes into distance for memory* They were really lovely and were in glass cups, the cups remain but the scent has long since gone
Anyway the 99p shop went bust ~ it took on the £1 shop and lost. Big business can be harsh![]()

darn I wish I'd tried that!
In now deceased shop, I did see one of the best examples of 'tongue-biting, eye-rolling, why the hell did I take this job?' customer service ever ~
Woman customer; 'How much is this?'
Store chap smiles; '99p'
Wc; 'and this?'
Sc, tighter smile; '99p, everythings 99p'
Wc holds something else up...
Sc, reaches for toy gun; '99p. It's all 99p'
Wc to husband; 'Well how are we suppose to know when they don't put any prices on anything?'

I once had a clerk in a 99 cent store call his manager because he needed a price check on an item I put on the belt.![]()

That would make me quite annoyed as well. There's a Yankee Candle that smells just like freshly cut grass. I wonder if that could be used to get out of doing yard work.
