So the first series of Discovery sort of explained the whole Klingon War thing from TOS and then they returned to the Mirror Universe and referenced the events from 'Star Trek: Enterprise' by bringing up the Defiant.

What do you think of the series bringing a proper closure to the TCW that Enterprise didn't really do, a proper explanation about what it was about and who Future Guy really was?

We've already seen Time Crystals pop up on the show so and the Spore Drive could possibly be used for time travel too. Since the producers have referenced ENT quiet a bit it wouldn't be inconceivable for them to do this.

I know there are some people here such as King Daniel who would be really excited by this.

Sure, why not. This show seem to have determined to revisit the worst ideas from the old shows like the Mirror Universe and the Section 31, so this would be only fitting.

"Mirror, Mirror" is one of the worst episodes of TOS? That's news to me and sounds a bit Revisionist if true.

I'm interested in the Mirror Universe and Section 31... The Temporal Cold War? Even never-minding that I don't like ENT, I thought The Temporal Cold War was a ridiculous thing they didn't need.

Though maybe that's the difference. I like TOS and DS9 so I'm okay with the Mirror Universe and Section 31. I don't like ENT, so I wouldn't want the Temporal Cold War. Biased? Maybe. But, unlike others (in general, not you) at least I'll be honest about that bias. I won't try to hide behind some other rationale.

It is a good episode but a ludicrous concept, and wore thinner every time it was reused. DS9's mirror episodes were dire. ENT's take on the concept was at least fun, though that was mostly because of TOS nostalgia.

If it were possible to have some threat to the 23rd Century like the Romulans, also appear to taking orders from the same shadowy Future Guy. Have it work for Discovery but make sense retroactively for Enterprise, and most importantly of all, be mind-blowing when his identity is finally shown. Sure.

Not sure about the whole Temporal Cold War, but FG had potential to be a cross-series big bad. Picking up the temporal phone and ordering a hit against the ENT era one minute, all the while multi-tasking attempts to undermine other time periods too.

"Mirror, Mirror" remains one of my favorite Trek episodes of all time. However, to me, the mirror universe really only made sense in the context of TOS, possibly as an illusory scenario created by the Halkans. Revisiting it over and over again got old and stale, and now it's moldy.

I was never a big fan of the TCW. It was a potentially interesting idea that went nowhere. I would rather leave it buried in the past than have it brought up again.

I love Ent, but I despised the TCW storyline. IMO, it was one of the elements that helped to eventually bring the show to a premature end. The TCW was a major part of Ent's disastrous first two seasons. Hated the Suliban as well.

I trust the DSC production staff to be able to present a good time travel story, but I hope the TCW is in the past for good.
