Short people - do you?

I’m 6’0”, and I’ve had to stand on a bottom shelf.

I love being asked to grab stuff for other people. Makes me feel useful. Just as long as they don’t assume I’m an employee.

I'm always willing to help too and get asked a fair bit though I don't tend to stand on a shelf. (I'm not light and worry about breaking things).

When I go into Home Depot, all I think is "earthquake earthquake earthquake."

Sounds like some of the stores here. You definitely have to get the staff to help there as the upper shelves are at least twelve feet high. (They do have those big wheelable steps around though).

Happened again today! The dried cherries were on the top shelf, well out of my reach at the back of the shelf, and there just happened to be a tall guy standing near by. I asked and he was nice enough to grab them for me. He even asked if I wanted more than one bag. Nice guy.

I'm 5'5", and I've stepped on the bottom shelve to reach something and I've used a broom or mop to carefully move something forward so I could reach it.

The bottom shelf? The shelf itself, no, those things seem like a house of cards. Though I wouldn't be mad if someone else did.

but there's always this sort of bar by the frozen/juice/yogurt/milk back that I step on sometimes. I think the shelves at my local area are sort of low.... I'm only like, 5'5, 165cm?

I was just in the grocery store yesterday and I couldn't teach something on the top shelf. It was a spray can and what I did was got something else off the next shelf and used that to knock over the can so I could reach it. There was no bottom shelf I could have stood on. So I do have the problem a lot. I have a friend even shorter and the tales she tells me!
At home I have this cool chair step ladder that I use.
