Oh, I heard that the reason they put some of the authors into the ballroom to sign books was because the fire marshal said "no way" to that many people in the concourse/hallway. Understandable, but it just didn't feel quite the same this way....

How many days until the next Shore Leave?

Yeah, cutting down the number of authors in the hallway made the place seem much deader than usual. I wonder if attendance was down or if there just weren't that many people buying books this time around.

Within the next few days, we should be posting a statement, so please hold speculation until then.

Was this statement ever released? I haven't seen anything.

Just checked Andy's site and nothing was there. Perhaps the statement is being released through Pocket?
