Ships of the Line 2010 Wall Calendar

Can be ordered on Amazon already.

It will be awesome! Loved the previews, and I can't wait for the stuff they didn't show us.

I preordered mine earlier in the year. It told me it would be out around early to mid august. A month or so ago, I got an email saying it was now going to be released at the end of january next year, and now when I look at it in my order list on Amazon, it says no release date is set at all. Yay!

The one with the physical models is looking great! When I arrived at that page I was like: Wow that is photoreal! And then I noticed that they where actually real models and not renders. So yeah that will be a very enjoyable month to look at! :)

The physical model picture really inspired me. I'm already plotting how to bring my (CGI) image for SOTL2011 up to that level.

I love that starbase shot the most.

You Aventine image looks good, too, though I'm not too fond of the design to be honest. *blush*

What is the one with the physical models?

Nobody is perfect.

A wise man once said: "It's a safe bet that some portion of the fan base would dislike our hypothetical Aventine, no matter what creative direction is chosen." (Marco Palmieri, before the design was started.)

And that's just how I like it! If everyone would like everything, there would not be a challenge left for any artist on any medium. :techman:

What is the one with the physical models?

It's the "3 is the answer" image! :)

The Starbase image is very very cool to look at! :P

The rundown:

Rear-quarter view of the shuttlecraft Gallileo in flight

January: "Entering Vger's Realm" by John Teska
From TMP, the Enterprise enters V'ger

The E-D in the Remmler Array. Support craft and another arrray in the background make this more visually interesting than it might sound from the first part of this description.

a catwalk's-eye view of the NX-01's shuttle bay during a launch (recovery?)

April: "Refit at Station Gray" by Andrew Probert
D'deridex warbird in Romulan drydock, with support craft

May: "Imperfect Warp Bubble" by Daren Dochterman
Also from TMP: the wormhole effect

June: "Flight Deck" by Max Gabl and Niel Wray
TOS Conny shuttle bay, with shuttlecraft DaVinci from Starbase 4.

Centerfold: "Mister Flint's Castle" by Max Gabl and Neil Wray
Flint's residence from the remastered Requiem for Methuselah.

July: "Operation Return" by Gregory Stewart
A small clash from the Dominion War

August: "Turning Death into a Fighting Chance to Live" by Koji Kuramura.
From Undiscovered Country, a close-up of the E-A's holed saucer, with Chang's BoP playing peek-a-boo through the breach.

September: "No Bloody A, B, C, or D!" by Doug Drexler
Beauty shot of the TOS Enterprise leaving a docking facility.

October: "Aventine" by Mark Rademaker (aka Clawhammer)
From the Destiny and post-Destiny novels, the USS Aventine, Capt. Ezri Dax's quantum slipstream ship.

November: "Three is the Answer" by John Han
From Cause and Effect, the collision of the E-D and Bozeman.

December: "We Come in Peace for All Mankind" by Robert Wilde
Earth Spacedock under construction

Saw this today at Borders - right as I was going to pick it up someone else got it :)

I'll pick it up soon though.

I haven't seen this calendar yet myself. I was at Books a Million and Barnes and Noble on saturday evening and never saw it there. I know normally Borders has it or one of those calendar stores that pop up during the holidays in the malls.

I've only seen the copy that I bought a week ago, and that was the last one where I got it. I've seen the TOS calendar in several bookstores, but not the SotL.

Hopefully, this means it's selling like hotcakes.

Finally got my copy over the weekend at one of the local comics shops. Worth the cash!
