Shaving Myth

Your diet and sleep schedule have more impact on the way your hair grows than how often you shave it.

Y'know this thread has me wondering what weird biological process is it that causes the hair on your head and face to grow continuously, while everywhere else it grows to a certain length then stops?

I chalk it up to difference between being a human and being an ape.

None.

Your hair on your head and face both grow to a genetically predetermined length and then fall out, just most people never get that far and some people can grow their hair extremely long, we're talking metres. There's an upper limit for everyone though.

Billy and Dusty are out there searching for that upper limit, while Frank is just a paradox.

B vitamins will make your hair (and nails) grow stronger, but of course you're right (I just never thought of this before), your stress level is also a factor!

Heh, Billy Gibbons is great. I'm addicted to that hidden track on QOTSA's lullabies to paralyse.

It's not a myth because I got into the habit of shaving the tuft of hair that comes out of the top of my shirt, and now, the lower part of my neck below my adams apple is growing fairly thick. I didn't shave the neck part on purpose, it was just kind of incidental strokes of the blade.

I'm pretty sure that area on my neck would be as bare as the rest had I not accidentally started shaving it.

That -quite possibly- is the most sexy tuft of hair on the male body: whatever is visible just above the rim of a white T-shirt :bolian:

Why can you go bald on the top of your head but not your face? Face baldness would save a lot of time :D
