Shatner's Reaction

intense said:
In view of James Cawley being in the film, how do you think William Shatner will feel with him being left out

Amazon just announced there's a new upcoming Shatner autobiography in hardcover for 2008. No wonder Mr Shatner's been doing all his "Look at me! Look at me!" stuff at the moment. :vulcan:

Would you not be incensed?

Was Jeffrey Hunter upset when William Shatner took over his job?

Was William Shatner upset when Patrick Stewart was offered TNG?

Was he upset for Leonard Nimoy when David Gautreaux was being groomed to play Xon? Or for Kirstie Alley when she was replaced by Robin Curtis?

How would you feel if somebody took over your job and you got shut out left looking in,but without entry anywhere in?

Would you not be incensed?
Bond, The Doctor and a number of recurring movie parts have been played by different actors. Shatner doesn't own the part. And for God's sake, the guy is 76 years old.

Another thing, Abrams says it's because Kirk died on film.

God, who cares?! The man's made his millions fro the movies. He let them snuff out his character and played the part. He's got his Emmys. I can't possibly feel sorry for him or care if he feels left out.

Considering it's most likely a non-speaking background walk on; and IF James Crawley is getting paid, it's 'extra' pay whuich is usually $50 and a box lunch - I kind of doubt William Shatner would care one way or the other.

Really? A BOX LUNCH?

Man, I gotta get one of these acting gigs. It sounds slightly better than jury duty...
