They're not sueing him for being a meglomaniacal asshat, as he clearly is based upon decades of stories about him as a human being. They're sueing him for the injuries they sustained working under him, and for his trying to force them to let him off the hook.Seriously, it took 20 years for them to realize he's an egomaniac?

Most people here believe since he played Kirk that he can do no wrong.
But there's a difference between the character and the actor. Didn't he just do a tour where he told fans to "get a life" and they still showed up? If so, then that says something about the actor to me, even though the character was great. But then, that may also prove your point...
