Shatner on Ross on Youtube

My TV reception died but I was able to watch live on BBC.co.uk :)

It was fun to watch, especially with TJ Hooker being mentioned and "I'm not in it. I don't care."

Why the hell was he photographing a black leopard at night?

"...and a lover." Jesus, he is awesome.

I have never seen more than two seconds of TJ Hooker and dear god...I...I want to see more.....

I can just see Dr. McCoy standing there while the gorilla is fondling Shatner saying "What is it with you?".

He was on Irish tv too over the weekend, but it wasn't as good, the host paled in comparison. Although Shatner did come up with an amusing anecdote. When asked about conventions and the "Get a life" line, he recounted how he'd found out that most fans don't actually come to a convention to hear him at all, but just to say hi to each other :p

Yeah, I saw him on Tubridy Tonight and it was a terrible interview. I don't know if Tubridy is normally like that with guests but he seemed completely out of his element with Shatner. I watched the Ross interview ready to cringe and was pleasantly surprised at how well they worked together.

Thanks for posting this. The Shat is just a natural at the talk show format.

I've also been enjoying his "Raw Nerve" show too. He just seems to be having so much fun interviewing other people.

LOL.

Yeah, i saw it and loved The Shat.

He and Wossy have met a number of times and do get along well. Ross though, being a huge Trek fan anyway, just melts when he talks to Shat.

He didnt know what to do with him, he just took over and Ross began to be the interviewee to Shat.

Brilliant tongue in cheek TV.

Anyway watch Shatner totally own Ross...
.

HOOKER really is godawful, it was a terrible 70s retread even back when it started, but if you watch it as a Shatfest, it can be a hoot. Don't try to watch too many, your brain will rot, but if you can see the early one where he is after The Greatest American Hero as a rapist, you can see him leaping DOWN onto a school bus, and then later on, there is the Nimoy acting episode, where they get to reenact the 'had enough' bit from THIS SIDE OF PARADISE.

Don't watch the Nimoy-directed one, it is just a girl-in-danger pos (How I remember this when I haven't seen any of these in a quarter-century, I don't know. A&E reran the series several years back, but it was on at 4am, so I only saw the last 10min of about a dozen, and that brief exposure (to a lot of smiling laughing freeze-frame endings) did not endear the show to me any further.

Personally I think thats when Ross is at his best. It goes from an interview to havig a chat in front of an audience. Ricky Gervais when he has nothing to say, do or promote is always fun to watch as it feels like two mates catching up. The same method also made me like Russel Brand for ten minutes.

Though it's also fun when he's got an uncomfortable American - such as Tom Cruise the week before ;)

I need to catch up wth Shatners show though, I thought it would get a mention
