Shatner buys TREK franchise!

Yep, the rumors are true. William Shatner (disappointed about not being in Star Trek XI) is buying the Star Trek franchise. The final price has not been reported but we have heard it's close to a billion dollars. It's also been reported that Shatner's close friend Donald Trump may be financing part of the deal. "It seems Billy wants to make his own series of Star Trek films and bring Kirk back! I told him, you're hired!" Trump was heard saying in Chicago at a recent media dinner function. It's still unsure how this new series of films will work with JJ Abrams new movie due in May of 2009. Right now, Shatner was unavailable for comment and was rumored to be out of the country scouting shooting locations for this new series of films.

Sounds l like just another day of politics in Raleigh... I KNEW that bridge had alien influences. No one in Raleigh government is that creative.
