Ok so I had this on cassette for years, but who has cassette players anymore?

I loved the audiobook but it doesn’t seem to be available on CD, Audible, iBooks or any platform that I am aware of.

Does anyone know how I can listen to it without having to buy a cassette player? There’s gotta be a way....

Audio cassettes have actually experienced a resurgence in popularity over the last couple of years, especially as a way for small independent music labels to release new material quickly and cheaply. There's even a Kickstarter project going on for a portable cassette player with bluetooth connectivity.

If all else fails, you could see if there's an audio processing/production business in your area that would convert it to a digital format for you. But they might decline the job since it's copyrighted material.

Or maybe you have friends or acquaintances who are musicians with home recording equipment and still have one of those multi-track tape recorders sitting around, who would be willing to do a small favor for you.

You speak as if you were talking about a museum piece.
Functioning audio cassette decks are hardly in the same category as, say, a functioning Linotype machine, or a functioning 2" quad VTR. They can be found fairly cheaply, new as well as used.

Well, I enjoy listening to the books in my car. Which is why I thought digital was the easy way to go. (Or Cds since my car has a CD player) I appreciate your replies.
