SG1 Question

Sci Fi is doing their daily marathon of Random Show X, and today happens to be SG1. Now, there's a lot of episodes I haven't scene, but this one makes me wonder. They have the Ancient Puddle Jumper that's outfitted with the time machine, the question I have is where did they get it? Did they find a second one? cause as far as I can remember the one they found in Atlantis was destroyed. And if they did find a second one, does anyone know which episode so I can track it down and watch it?

Janus, who built the original time-capable jumper back on Atlantis, and did so without approval from the Council, was still up to no good after the evacuation to the Milky Way, so he built another. They find it on the planet where Maybourne becomes King of Everything. The episode might be called The King; I'm not sure. IMDB for all episodes with the Maybourne actor, and he's in the very last one.

God the SG-1 time travel puddle jumper episodes are HORRIBLE! The Atlantis episode is actually rather good.

SG-1 found their time-travel puddle jumper in an episode about mid-way through season 8 titled "It's Good to be King", which, as mentioned above, featured Maybourne.

It was later used in the two-part season 8 finale, "Mobius" as the central plot device.

I am pretty sure that was the only appearance of the time-travel puddle jumper within SG-1.

I'd assume it was moved to Area 51 to be studied after they brought it back (since, you'll remember, they never actually had to use it in the main timeline), and eventually got blowed up real good in the Atlantis finale with so many other cool things the SGC brought back over the decade.

Based on what we saw in the season 3 midseason two-parter, I like to imagine the SGC has a couple of Jumpers from Atlantis that they keep on-site for special missions, though they don't use them as a matter of course like Atlantis does.

I thought it was said in some episode that the pupple jumper was destroyed so no one can use it. I could be completely wrong.

I am pretty sure it was destroyed too. Though it would be pretty stupid to destroy the entire jumper. Why not just remove the time machine component?

Although a time jumper still exists because Janus (or someone) was watching the events of "Its Good to Be King" and then recording them. Who knows when/where else Janus visited/is visiting with the Time Jumper.

As was mentioned above, and after watching the episodes in question, (it was mobius that made me ask the question) the Atlantis Time Jumper was destroyed. When Janus went to the Milky Way, he built a second one which SG1 retrieved, and was later used in Mobius to travel to ancient Egypt to steal a ZPM. They did not say what exacly happened to that one though, but it did seem to be heavily damaged, so it might not be useful anymore.

The alternate-SG-1 planned to do that after they drove off Ra in Moebius, to make sure it didn't cause any more mischief after they set history right. Technically, they'd have to destroy two of them, since the one Alt-SG-1 got from Egypt had already been buried there by not-quite-original SG-1.

The one from our SG-1, that they never actually used to travel through time (since the two alternate SG-1s had left them the ZPM they planned to steal from Ra before they even found out it was there), presumably never left whatever garage they put it in after they brought it back from Maybourne's world.

Nope, and IIRC, it had the extra equipment boxes with the Atlantis Project's logo on them.

That was the Midway test jumper I think that Dr Lee was studying also.
