Lieutenant Scott is infected by a plant-like organism while surveying a planet, and suffers severe hallucinations of another life back home on Earth.

Another dam Hullucination episode, where are the writers going to come up with something original.

yup! ^^^

Hallucination episodes have been done to death...but then so has every type of plot in a sci-fi show or any genre for that matter. Though you'd think with SGU trying to ape BSG that they'd try to avoid the sci-fi cliches like this as much as possible or not do them at all.

This episode maybe the final desision maker if SGU is to be canceled, I can't see it getting higher ratings than last week.

We will see, the trend has not been good. Though I heard last Tuesday there were a bunch of games on TV that night.

I think I'm going to sit this one out tonight and just watch it tomorrow when I can skip the commercials. It may turn out to be great, but on the surface it doesn't look promising.

I kind of feel the same way, I always find that I grade less harshly if I can just fast forward through all the commercials and get to the meat of the story.

God, the Scott stuff is as painful as I expected. However, Rush is being quite competent with calling for the Kino sled and the acid.

You know, this episode might've been good if all the hallucination bits were cut out. It seems like the director actually is able to get some decent performances out of these people.

So, was this is a lesson in how boring an episode can be? Nothing really happened here, and I just wasn't interested in the story. This was a complete filler episode IMO. I'm just gonna be honest here, I don't like Scott, he's not one of my favorite characters on the show. I don't think the ratings will be high. Next week looks awesome though!

i agree with the statement that the episode would have been much better without the dream sequences. why not just focus on some of Scott's memories like that early episode from season 1.

ep was meh for me, loved Greer pulling his Sgt. Apone impression, that parts on the alien planet were the most interesting. This show seems its best when the characters are against an external enemy [Time, Space etc...] they need more eps like that cause the infighting and drama SERIOUSLY is not working...NEXT WEEK now that looks interesting

Scott really doesn't view highly of himself. There are constant references to how dumb he is during his dream state.

It is an interesting look at the psychology of Scott, but feels somewhat unnecessary.

I think they think the "psychological" episodes are high concept and interesting. Which they can be... except they keep dipping into that well to the point that it has become remarkably mundane now.
