Brody, Volker, Greer, and Rush are some of the best characters in the history of Stargate.



I am so pissed. This show has gotten so much better but I'm watching it knowing that the chance of it coming back is almost zero.

Agreed. What's worse is knowing there won't be a resoultion to any of the plotlines. If I remember correctly, the Atlantis direct to DVD movie got cancelled before it even got off the ground; I can't imagine one for Universe getting made anytime soon either :-(

A mixed bag I thought. There were lots of nice character moments, and some really funny scenes, but the storyline as a whole fell a bit flat for me. I was in stitches at the Numa Numa bit though

Now that, IMO, was an awesome episode. Finally some humor, I LOL'd at the music bit in the infirmary, and it was nice to see that crowd joking around with each other for a change. When the 2001 theme music started it felt "epic"

The whole concept here though about storing conscious minds as programs and downloading them to new bodies reminds of nuBSG. It is cool though that the Ancients had the tech to do this, that ship really is pretty sweet, download yourself to the computer then you can be the ship, heh.

Who else thinks something isn't right with Greer, he had a look on his face, I think he's just saying he's alright, but maybe he feels that he isn't, maybe there is something seriously wrong.

Boy next week looks awesome.

I get the feeling the solution to the ghosts in the machine are human form replicators.

If they had gotten a third season that is probably where this plot would be headed. Ya can't have a Stargate series without replicators.

Gotta be some variation on that, yeah. They don't have a lot of spare functioning bodies at the moment, and no one wants to share, so some form of replicator/artificial constuct has got to be where they were going to go with that...

Imagine Lt. James is injured and is brain dead. Rush and Eli fight over which of their girlfriends gets the body.

Yea, but there were power issues with those androids. Either stay on Harlan's planet or wear a limited charge battery pack.

That makes those bodies unreliable.

Kinda disappointed in the previews for next week--few episodes to go and they’re focusing on everyone else off ship? Here’s hoping it’s not really that (cause that sounds like a Voyager thing, and while I really liked Voyager, the studio’s meddling really affected it for the worse).

This show gets a 9 from me purely for the inclusion of Numa Numa, I mean, come on! That was hilarious.

Aside from that, it was surprisingly touching/sad/happy all in one. Great to see Gynn and Dr. Perry back, and especially Perry's first port of call being to help TJ. See, these people aren't arseholes by nature.

Still a little confused of how Amanda and Ginn's concious survived, I get that Chloe was asleep and they cam in via the stones that way but where were they help before that? some type of stone subspace?

So now we have 3 people living in the computer if you include Franklin. There will be more people in there soon than onbaord. LOL Makes you wonder who else could be 'living' in Destiny's computer? Maybe some Ancients who knew there were going to die tousands of years ago transferred the conciousness in there.. If the show were not cancelled I could see that as an episode now.

I dunno, with Dr Perry coming in at the last minute with the whole ancient database in her head, it made her transplant feat somewhat palatable. What with Greer's infected incision though, she may not be clear of that just yet.

The “whole database in her head” thing kinda makes her a Mary Sue, doesn’t it? I mean, now Rush is needed only to implement what Perry says is needed. Or maybe they can understand the ship and fix things better?

I liked S:U all along and hate that it’s being canned right when it was really coming up to speed ....
