SG-U – Darkness (1x04) - (Live Commentary | SPOILERS)

Re: SG-U – Darkness (1x04) - (Live Commentary | SPOILERS)

Like my Ford hybrid is like so awe..sum, it like has a, lot, of, like pick-uppppp, y'know?

The video clips are annoying but at least they give some insight into some other characters

I'm amused that they have shifts assigned to baby-sit the communications stones at the SGC.

And Colonel Telford is back, though I think Carter or McKay would have been 10x more useful...

Carter has her own ship and for all we know McKay is back in Pegasus so their probably not available.

Also Telford is coming off as an ass.

Ships out of power so Young goes to Earth to visit his wife, kinda selfish??

Probably true, but do we know for sure the Carter in the permenant commander of the Hammond.

ohh please, the marital spat just takes you out of the story.

Of all people, Col. Young goes to see his wife? Yeah, Carter and McKay might not be available, but at least there's Dr. Lee.

If he was really trying to get home, he wouldn't have used the stones to go say good-bye to his wife.

So they went from out of power and a slow freezing death to on a collision course with a star and a fast flash frying death.

I bet that the Destiny set it self on course for a star because it could somehow use the star to recharge its power. Either by solar energy like Atlantis can or absorption of plasma, heat, or other matter.

Hmmm, so Destiny is going to recharge the batteries by flying into a star? This ship doesn't need Carter or McKay! It seems to be doing most of the work on its own.

And nice of them to acknowledge that people are awfully jittery (or worse) from lack of caffeine.

Good episode. The series has potential to be a cool "exploratory" sci-fi series. But I'm starting to wonder if it will ever start to feel more like Stargate.

On a side note, why does Chloe go for the military guy over Eli? Come on, can't the nerd get the girl for once? I thought that guy had something going on with Lieutenant Double-D's anyway. Oh well. :vulcan:

Am I the only one that thinks it is interesting that the stones are at the Pentagon and not at SGC? Is this a hint that the stargate moved to the Pentagon because I don't see that happening.
