SG-1 Season 6

I found Coombs a lot more entertaining than Felger (partly because Felger was annoying, and partly because John Billingsley rocks), so of course they bring back Felger for "Avenger 2.0". :p

I was thinking of the joke along the lines of-
"Daniel Jackson is going to die when he sees this!"
"Again?"
Am I getting my episodes confused? If it's season 6, I suppose I must be. What episode is that from?

That's from Heroes Part 1, in the seventh season.

And second of all, is that PHLOX?!! My opinion of this episode just went up ever so marginally.

Dr. Coombs is indeed played by John Billingsley.

During the time Avenger 2.0 was made some company was making a Stargate game. I think they even used the graphics for it in the episode.

The episode was horrible crap, that pretty much was made because they were making a video game, thus a video game ad episode.

As someone else has said, that's Avatar, not Avenger 2.0. Avenger 2.0 is the episode where they create a virus that can be uploaded to any Stargate to disable it (in theory), but it goes wrong and disables the entire gate network.

Again, it sounds like you're talking about Avatar. Avatar was about Teal'c plugging himself into the VR chair from The Gamekeeper which was being modified as a training simulation device, depicting the SGC being overrun by Kull warriors. Teal'c becomes stuck in it, meanwhile the rest of the team is able to monitor his progress, which is depicted on the monitors by displaying footage from the SG-1 X-Box game that was in development years ago.

Avenger 2.0 meanwhile was about Dr. Felger coming up with a computers virus which would scramble a Stargate's DHD's symbols. Basically, you punch one symbol on the DHD and the Stargate dials a completely different symbol, making the Stargates essentially useless. This is tested on the Stargate on one of Ba'al's planets, but Ba'al catches it and then spreads the virus to every Stargate in the galaxy. With the rest of SG-1 stranded off-world, Carter has to work with Felger to undo the damage.
