OK, Sfdebris reviews the 30th Anniversary episodes produced by DS9 and VOY:

"Flashback" -

And here's summary on both successful episodes, showing the pluses and minuses between both episodes without being rabid about it -

I like his reviews and this is a good representaion of the differences between ds9 and voyager writes.
I wish he'd spend more time on analysis rather than describing what happens in the episode which is something we already know.

I agree completely. As someone who likes SFdebris' reviews, he spends waaay too much re-capping, when you can probably assume most folks watching his reviews are familiar with the episode in question, or can readily find another re-cap somewhere on the internet. I watch for insightful(and funny) analysis, not summarizing of plots.

As for TAT, I've never quite gotten the appeal-it's mildly funny, but is basically a gimmick episode that is FAR too pleased with its own cleverness for my tastes.

TAT is one of my favorite things ever. I don't mind admitting that. I was 15 when it premiered and it was glorious!

Man, 1996 was a good year to be a teenage Trekkie!

TAT is an odd episode, it's a nice bit of comic relief - probably not an episode you'd want to revist too often though imo.

Really i think it had great nostalgic value and a real tribute to TOS. I still enjoy it after many viewings there was great attention to detail.

Agreed. One of the signs of TaT's success is that, unlike many light-hearted comedies, much of the humor is permanently funny and in fact tends to improve on multiple viewings as you notice more subtle details.

I can't think how the episode could have been better.
After so many memorable moments topping it off with Sisko meeting Kirk :bolian:
