Today marks exactly fifty years since the airing of the final episode of a little know '60s television programme called Star Trek.

So this contest will be about series finales... proper ones that tie up the show in a neat bow, never finished cliffhangers from abruptly canceled shows, or even episodes that are neither of those things and instead are just kinda there but they're the last one, so there.

Also, please keep in mind the spoiler rules of the forum, so no spoilery content from finales that have aired in the last six months, but it's not like there were any giant popular spectacular shows ending recently...

This actually isn't the show I intended to enter when I wrote the quoted text on Thursday night. However, I just saw the end of the final season this weekend, and knew that this had to be my entry instead.
