Sexyback attack

I wouldn't call it "too far" but I was amazed that nobody noticed and removed the shots of Troi's impressive cameltoe in either The Ensigns Of Command or (with Beverly!) Data's Day

That's what I was going to mention, don't worry! I didn't even notice it the times I watched it, but then I saw a YouTube clip, I could not believe it.

The decon-underwear oil-downs in ENT. I swear Tucker was sporting wood when he was with T'Pol in the pilot.
I admit I disliked the way the camera complacently lingered almost in slo-mo in that scene, being the pilot and too early for that. (At the same time, I understand a pilot trying to score audience points.)

The fact they added padding to Jolene Blalock's already augmented breasts in seasons 1 and 2 of ENT, Archer's boob dive in Shadows of P'Jem, Hoshi's shirt loss in Shockwave, Pt II, T'Pol running around in her underwear in Bounty, T'Pol taking her shirt off for no reason in The Xindi, "T'Pol"'s ass in Harbinger, Troi's see-through nipples in Man of the People, Kira's uniform suddenly becoming a catsuit in the first episode of season 7 on DS9... Actually for that matter I thought the catsuits in general were just wrong, but whatever...
What a precise memory, for someone who disapproves!

you forgot about 7 of 9. nothing in particular just everything about her. mind you i'm not complaining but we all know why she was there and "dressed" the way she was. i still prefer the first silver suit. that's just me though. :D
I just saw 'Tsunkatse' again and her golden combat suit gave her even bigger boobs than usual. In her place, I would have been embarrassed.

But let's call a spade a spade and admit this thread is a hypocritical relishing in, more than a condemnation of, the more provocative or sexually suggestive parts of Star Trek (visually).
Come on, it doesn't sound like there is such a thing as "too far" in that list!

As a female viewer I wish there was more sexual suggestivity for her pleasure in Star Trek.

I enjoy the view (except in Troi's case) as much as the next straight guy, but at the same time there's porn for that. ;)
:wtf: Goddamn, you can't compare! Some people need a scenario to get their juices on. Not to mention porn is a denial of sensuality. What eroticism is there in raw meat?

I remember the Data's Day one but not the Ensigns Of Command one. Hunh.

It's when Troi and Picard are lit against darkness abord the Shelliac ship, just after they beam in.

 Found it. Goddamn how could I missed that. Me... being a self-professed harmless yet creepy Troi Gawker. Aaaah well.

Hey, don't knock teenage boys! I felt like one every time I tuned into VOY -- did wonders for me! -- RR

I don't think the addition of Seven really changed the way I viewed Voyager, she got a good enough introduction as a Borg first.

Of course Enterprise started playing that card they had nothing to fall back on! It did seem a bit desperate in the Pilot, but I think it was other things that stopped me watching with Shockwave 1

Having said that I was secretly dreading them introducing a Captains' daughter who was about 18-22 years old... that might have been the only thing to have bought me back.... for the wrong reasons

Oh, and the decon scene in BB.

I watched the premiere when it first aired, and turned it off after that scene. I never watched another episode of Enterprise during its first run.

As a female, I felt insulted, and as a Trekkie - well, I still felt pretty insulted. Like someone else mentioned, where's the pandering for me? Where's my damn eye-candy?! There's more eye candy for me in TOS, and the purty girls were never that exploited, even in the 60s.

I started watching Enterprise during its reruns, and found the later episodes tolerable. But, one of the scenes cracked me up, another one with T'Pol in her scivvies. While she was running along, one of her Lee Press-on Boobies went crooked, and her headlights were completely misaligned for a bit. I happened to watch that with a room full of my male engineer friends, and we all giggled and snorted during that scene. Entertainment for everyone! :rommie:

Someone really should have caught that.....

... T'Pol taking her shirt off for no reason in The Xindi, ...
My very first thought... totally ridiculous.

Oh, and the decon scene in BB.

Agreed. Also the infamous Harbinger scene. I've sometimes cringed at the clichés in the show, or rolled my eyes at the obvious attempt to get character X to fall in love with character Y... but this just embarrassed me totally, and I was the only one in the room the first time I watched Broken Bow and Harbinger.

That makes me sound really prudish :p I'm really not, but I felt like they'd somehow sullied the show by trying to appeal to the teenage fanboys.

haha yes. this is more of an "ooh did you see that? yeah!" thread rather than a "oh no they di'in't!" thread. lol

but yea even i would have to admit that if i was her and they enhanced an already ample bossom, i would feel a little odd about it. >_< but visually it looked good. :D

though i doubt there would be much of any sexually suggestive things for "her pleasure" in the trek tv shows as most of the guys tend to gain weight as the show progresses. lol. i think the most fit was the enterprise cast. hey, you never know what you'll see in the new movie as they are all fresh and still fit as a fiddle. ;)

Ditto, only I haven't seen the show since (except for part of that Vulcans-in-the-50s episode). I was stunned. It was really bizarre and made no sense to me in a Star Trek episode. I did finish watching the pilot, but the decon scene was long, jarring and frankly embarrassing. Not the kind of thing I'd want anyone to watch and think "That's what Star Trek is all about!"

Neelix's feet. Dr Phlox's feet & back. Kes's Elogium. Riker in that neglige getup. Any
decon scene. That was like, let's stop the show for a few minutes and do something to jar our viewers out of this universe and back into their teenage soap fantasies.

Sex isn't sexy. Seduction is sexy. When will people get that?
