Sex 'n' violence in Discovery

I'm not allowed to be excited by breasts anymore, so it's a good thing that I am so old that I can't be excited by breasts anymore.

Yesterday Bill Mayer was complaining that he was tricked by Homeland for never showing Morena Baccarin's breasts again in the six years since she bared them in the pilot.

Depend on which American cultural group you're in, to some the term does carry considerable meaning and impact.

Bastards would seem to be rare in the Trek-verse, David Marcus was one of course, and there were a few others. Most of our heroes (when we know one way or the other) would appear to be the issue of married couples.

Which brings another question...did Riker and Troi have two weddings because one was recognised by the state and the other culturally?
I am in the American Cultural group known as being British xD

IIRC, they did indeed have two weddings, one (in ST:Nemesis) with clothes on, and one without.

When was the second?

Between the destruction of the Simitar and the Enterprise reaching Earth.
After the Enterprise gets to Eath but before the last scene aboard the Enterprise in Earth orbit.
Or sometime after Riker took command of the Titan?

Worth about 10 million at 1992 prices and more as full films and episodes.

Story concepts are only "worth" what you can sell them for.

I'm guessing that all these concepts "sitting on disk" have gone wanting for buyers.

I've got 26 story concepts for a new star trek series on disk and 2000 story concepts too.

Not sure what your point is, since none of your story concepts are ever going to be used. Because, you know, CBS already has a story concept. It's called Star Trek: Discovery.

When was the second?

Probably not until after the movie ends. IIRC, the Enterprise was actually on its way to Betazed for the wedding, when they were diverted (and then the bulk of the plot happens). So the second wedding didn't get a chance to happen during the film.

Oh my, what Dirty Brains you have grandma. :)

#1 was a horny severed Robot head screaming pornography/love poetry constantly about how he wants to live happily ever after with Zev (as an example) between her heavenly thighs.

#2 was the the weapon that the lead action man used to kill people, a fricking GRAPPLING HOOK. More of a grappling claw, but it was so damned effective, but only because this show should have been a cartoon.

YMYV.

I enjoyed Lexx as a raunchy fun sci fi parody, but I wouldn't want to see it as a pattern for new Trek.
