Sex Drive trailer (James Marsden, Seth Green)

Looks funky.

And I'm glad that James Marsden is getting work, and exploring his potential a bit. The X-Men films totally abused it.

Saw it 3 weeks ago at a very advance screening.

Loved it. Just noticed its up for its round of media/promotional screeners now.

I think this movie kicks ass. Better than Superbad!

I'll save thoughts on it for closer to release.

I dunno. I am usually not a fan of these raunchy comedies but I absolutely adored Superbad. In fact it's probably one of my favorite comedies of the past few years.

So saying that Sex Drive is better than Superbad is definitely a strong endorsement in my opinion. The trailer looked pretty funny so along with Captain Craig's positive thoughts I'll definitely be catching this opening weekend.

Thanks Captain.

Let me add that I liked Superbad, thought it was good, but not great.
Ranking my favorite comedies of the last few years that are similar would be Wedding Crashers, 40yr Old Virgin, Knocked Up, Superbad, then maybe Forgetting Sarah Marshall.

Sexdrive has a similar cast focus as Superbad. Nerdy insecure guy, Larger nerdy guy best friend and the girl. Superbad suffered some for me cause I thought Seth(Jonah Hill) was the weak link.
Sexdrive's "fat guy" Lance (Clark Duke)has much more charisma and timing than Hill. In fairness the role is written different but I still don't see Hill being as entertaining.

James Marsden is great as the big brother. His part is fairly predictable and you can see where his arc is going in the first act.

Seth Green turns in another great character as an Amish handyman.

My new favorite find however is the actress playing Mary (Alice Greczyn), the amish gal Lance falls for. If I could place a bug in Aragorns ear for GBOW it would be her for the week of October 13.

Umm....no. That would be a really stupid reason for a spin-off. I doubt the actor that played McLovin could have enough charisma to carry an entire film.

Now, if you wanted to spin-off the movie starring Seth Rogen and Bill Hader as those dimwitted cops, you might have a movie.

Looks like it could be retarded fun. :D Nice to see Marsden stretching a bit there.

Well, jeez, did you see 'Enchanted?' I don't think anything can "stretch" more than that role!

(And 'Hairspray' wasn't exactly the same as 'X-Men' for that matter!)

This is not a man who's going to get typecast.

^ Well he certainly wouldn't get typecast as Cyclops.

Wait, Cyclops was in the X-Men movies???? :p

I just saw this trailer over at Collegehumor, and I was just thinking: How exactly is this movie different to Eurotrip? It seems to be the exact same film, right down to the 'cool' companion, the online pen friend, the stereotypical 'natives' they encounter...
