so everyone let them be. For hours
and hours, they waited for things to
end, however it wasn't that easy. Data
calculated that the two devices would converse
for what humans thought was hours but
in their real language, it could actually
just be seconds. Abruptly, everything got quiet
as the 8-ball rolled into a turbolift
and departed. Wesley's 'Confabulator started speaking,
"Greetings. Just to inform you, the 8-ball
has decided to roll around one last
time about the ship before heading to
the shuttle it came in on. Everyone
can settle down, relax, and carry on
as they please."
"It used a shuttle?"
"Yes, it is attached to your hull
, on the left nacelle."
"What else did
you expect?" Riker said exasperatedly. "Those things
are always mysterious."
Everyone agreed and resumed
normal duties, never knowing that the 8-ball
