rushed to find the nearest turbolift. "Bridge!"
He said...but the turbolift wasn't responding.
"Bridge!" he repeated, somewhat annoyed "Deck one!"
But nothing happened. So he punched the
Maintenance panel, and removed several Isolinear chips
from their slots. The processors were unusually
tarnished, he called for Geordi in engineering
and asked if he could perform some
Diagnostics on the turbolift system, as there
seemed to be a running series of
errors in the phase variance, but also
there seemed to be something strange going
on; within the panel there didn't appear
to be any normal controls, only holodeck
ones that you could pass your hand
Straight through. Visible were the yellow lines
on the projector walls and you could
see Picard's face start to wonder, "What
is going on here? Am I hallucinating?"
