Seven Of Nine/Jeri Ryan Appreciation Thread v2

Jeri on ARROW. :bolian:

I noticed that today when I saw the promo. :bolian:

So, will she be a good politician or an evil monster intent on taking over the world, one city at a time.

I can't take the broken heart mommy face! I know what she's going through. Losing precious family photos.

Did anybody heard about the problems of Jeri Ryan with the Kate Mulgrew? She even said that her experience in Star Trek was not unpleasant. Is it true? And how are the rights going now?

Happy Birthday to one of the best actresses who ever graced the screen on a Star Trek series. It's a shame she's always tied to what she was wearing because Jeri Ryan brought a lot to Voyager.

Happy Birthday Jeri!!
Two things surpirse me.
One, That Jeri's 48 years old. She doesn't look it at all.
Two I'm two years older than her.

Indeed, best of wishes to you! As so many others believe as well, you took a role completely out of the realm as publicized and generally thought of, and made it something truly special with your superlative talents and perceptiveness. May your next year be one replete with fulfillment and satisfaction!!!:techman:

Less is more. She was at her most beautiful when she got to wear the Starfleet uniform in "Relativity".

100% agree!
I think that she should have worn the Starfleet's uniform ( :techman:) right from S6 to show that she had become integrated into the Voyager's team.

About the idea of Seven of Nine saving the show, I am so sure. Of course, at the beginning, there was a consequent quiver due to the arrival of Seven of Nine (the actress is rather attractive - I recognize it - and her suit sexy - maybe too much because her costum has overshadowed the actress's acting performance (even if at the beginning, it was rather "shy" but as one goes along, Jeri Ryan knew how to stand out with subtility, charm and talent -> seriously she had more presence than Beltran and Wang combined!) BUT afterward, audiences have fallen again and it was still s4.
I think that what allowed the series to extend the journey of Voyager until s7, is the trio compound of Janeway/Mulgrew-Seven/Ryan and the Doctor/Picardo (even if the character annoyed me ). Plus, certain stories were very good (in particular those who were in 2 parts... except Endgame, even if it was interesting to see an aged Janeway reducing in piece the Directive Directive , which was rule of life... well, she knew how to disregard it when it settled her!

Less is more. She was at her most beautiful when she got to wear the Starfleet uniform in "Relativity".
Agreed. She is so much more stunning in just normal casual clothes, than that quasi Borg outfit that she can't breath in.

Didn't she marry well in real life? Like extremely well?

Well, not the marriage she was in at the time of her introduction on Voyager, far from it. A prominent politician who apparently hid forcing his wife into unwanted sexual escapades. Some can be thankful that the eventual release of those allegations scuttled this guy's career. Many likely bemoan it, his character aside, as it led to the Senate election of the man who would be in short time the President, his tenancy there quickly coming to a close.

However Ms. Ryan's second marriage has to my knowledge been a happy one, and has served to further her life as a restaurateur of note, in concert with her husband, who is a renowned chef..

To show my appreciation ... here's one of my desktop wallpapers (already displayed in my ST VOY Desktop Wallpapers thread):

See her in Bosch, she's great and genuinely scary in that (with obvious sociopathic manipulative and narcissistic traits).
