That restored my faith that the Klingon language can be fun, something Discovery convinced me couldn't be possible.

I think that everyone should leave Seth MacFarlane alone to do exactly what he wants with the show.
By "everyone" I mean Fox.
I think the show's just fine the way it is. I enjoy it every week. It's never tedious. Every episode has at least one or two little surprises that are a joy, whether it's a slightly odd turn of plot or a joke.
The show's got as much continuity as it ought to have. It has an ongoing exploration of the characters and their relationships, and there's not a big thing made about it.
Most episodes have a knd of sense of wonder about them - that "gosh wow" thing that shows like the original Twlight Zone or TOS Trek could manage and that skiffy TV and movie now reaches too hard for sophistication to bother with.
You know, fuck long story arcs. Just fuck them. Usually what they mean is that there are no hours that are good all on their own.
What would I like not to see again? I think the episode about Darulio tried too hard to be a real comedy and missed. The show works better as an adventure with some light humor.
FWIW, MacFarlane says he wants the show to be a short adventure movie every week. That's cool; no one else has a better idea that I've seen.
Hadn't thought of that. I hope the Mouseketeer kiddie police don't take issue with some of the crew's off-duty recreational activities that have been seen on-screen. Part of the show's unique charm, IMO.Hopefully Disney trying to buy parts of Fox will not impact The Orville. Supposedly Fox TV studios (which produces The Orville) is one of the properties that may get sold but not the Fox broadcast network.
