We have Humans in Trek who evolved in a cultural/moral sense and essentially try to preserve life if possible.
Therefore, it's SF's policy to stun hostile individuals (again, if possible), and not simply vaporize them.
Star Wars is essentially all about fantasy action set in space (in my opinion), and I'm personally tired seeing the 20th/21st century human mentality hundreds of years in what is supposed to be the future for example, or even in something like Wars.
Finally ... there is one thing expressing your dissatisfaction with the premise that Trek doesn't implement merciless killings, and then there's a whole another where you also use it to make pointless slurs.
One could call it also 'trolling'.
Oh, don't get me wrong, you are certainly entitled to your opinion, but at the same time, what exactly was it you were hoping to accomplish with this thread?
