This lines up with the director's plans that you see I posted earlier, the rest of the Defiant sets were struck in S7 leaving only the bridge and engineering for the final season (at least the final chapter segment), due to space being needed elsewhere. It's why you barely see defiant based eps by the end of the series.

which even then engineering was redressed as the basement of Mila for the last 2ish episodes.

It kind of bothered me that in the episode where they were in Sloan's mind they just used the defiant corridors, as if the defiant meant anything to Sloan...

I also think that they had the Klingon bridge and the Dominion meeting room on Cardassia left up permanently for the end of the series but that is more so a guess....

The reason they reused the defiant is because they were DS9's non-descript Starfleet sets (Meant to look like a Starbase). The Captain's ready room and corridors had already been depicted as offices in Starbase 375 so it wasn't that far a stretch. Voyager would have been doing their finale already and probably didn't have the time to vacate their sets for too long.

Wouldn't surprise me on the other sets, Although they were simplistic enough they could be taken down on a per episode basis. If memory serves the fire caves took up the entire right side of stage 18 by the end of the series.

Speaking of Sisko's office (on the starbase), that wouldn't happen to be it inbetween the Mess Hall and Engineering, would it?

Yup, that's Sisko's ready room/Valiant Ready Room/Starbase 375 meeting room.

Additionally, Bashir's office (from 6x01) is actually that corridor intersection with the ready room door blocked off by a medical supplies.

That shot shows the mess hall door behind garak, and the ready room door behind bashir, the side corridor is blocked by medical stuff and Bashir's console is blocking off the engineering pathway.

OH I always took that scene as Bashir was so overwhelmed with wounded that Garak was waiting in corridor for him. Always accepted that answer because they always seemed to have random computer terminals and piles of supplies in the corridors on that ship lol

Its funny i've watched something a hundred times and yet miss something.

I think the defiant sets are something that current fan productions should study, they were relatively small, and yet were versatile. Having the bridge, Corridors Quarters, Ready room, Engineering plus a room that served as Mess Hall, Sickbay, Transporter room

Yea, they really were versatile with the Defiant, I suppose cause Stage 18 was so much smaller than 8/9 and shared space with other standing sets.

Other things of interest, you'll notice that there are 2 quarters types on the defiant, they used to randomly put that quarters computer console in front of one of the two crew quarters doors depending on whose they were.

Also, the original transporter room corridor was the "t" junction behind the bridge, they removed the wild wall on top and stuck the transporter oval there.

I do remember that. I think we have a print of that too. Seen in Past Tense and To The Death.

I thought all 3 shows shared stage 16, that the productions used since s1 of TNG where it served as the planet of the week set, the cast and crew sometimes called it planet hell I thought.

Yup, they shared 16, but Stage 18 was exlusively DS9 swing. Defiant was not specced in the original series rollout, so it was always on the swing stage.

Also, only set I can't figure out the location of is the Valiant's brig. I am almost certain it's the crew quarters, but the angles don't match with the corridors.

In the end, the only conclusion I could come to is that it is the crew quarters as the cell sisko is in is small enough to fit in the bunk bed alcove seen on the existing blueprints, and they just had Nog and co enter from a strange camera angle via the bridge-facing side.

that or they squared off one of the corridor ends in the engineering section (like near the mess hall).

Well, I know from my blueprint collection that they reuse many sets and set elements for other sets on the show. Most of the walls (Flats) are made to be broken down to stack. So it would not surprise me the walls and other elements from the corridors where use to build the Office set.

Yup, upon further investigation the brig is definitely the crew quarters using the door facing the bridge hallway. The alcove sisko is in is the bunk-bed alcove as seen on the blueprint.

Additionally, i made a slight mistake, the original transporter room had the cap on the TOP of the long hallway (the hallway with the turbolift). I rewatched the adversary a few times to get all the ceiling lighting and door alignments right. If that hexagonal doorway is on that side, that means that the transporter pad has to be on the top side of that hallway, no other way for it to work.

I'm also now certain that the armoury in "To the Death" is the crew quarters too, that or they stood up a swing set behind the other hatchway opposite the crew quarters.

I was busy with some interiors when I stumbled upon an annoying problem: I can't find Voyager's science console anywhere Luckily, this thread helps a lot! Less so is the fact that I can't really make out numbers and the like from this here photo. Can anyone help me out with that?

[EDIT] I noticed that the blueprints for the console picture an "incomplete" version. The show added a ring with displays around it. Now for my purposes this is fine, I just thaught I'd mention it

You so made my day when I found that picture. It was just by chance that I found it in a Google search, just seeing if it might have made its way around. Don't ask me why, but out of all the Trek blueprints out there, this is my favorite one. At the time when it was for sale in Starlog Magazine, I wanted to get it. I never did thinking it would always be available. As it turns out this is probably the rarest fan-made Trek blueprint out there. Again, thank you for sharing. I'm so thrilled!

Oh! Now that I come to think of it, I have the perfect request for this thread!

Back in the days when the Drexfiles were still online, Doug posted a render of what the lower sensor dome was supposed to look like. I was very fascinated by this but seeing as I had a stable internet connection, out the window my whole *oooh need to save that to my harddrive!* mentality went. And alas: the Drexfiles went byebye and now I've been on a mad withchunt to somewhere find that image. I already tried poking Clawhammer about it but either he forgot to ask or he himself didn't get a reply from Doug. Either way, I'm still without. So... anyone here who has it lying around their hard drive by chance?
