Well ENT had the Temporal Cold War, so that loses straight away. Some of VOY's best episodes involved time travel or alternate realities (Timeless, Year of Hell, Before and After), but then again, so did some of the worst (Time and Again, Fury, Shattered).

TOS had 'Tomorrow is Yesterday,' 'The City on the Edge of Forever,' 'Mirror, Mirror,' 'Assignment: Earth,' and maybe 'All Our Yesterdays.' The first three were really good, the last two not so much.

TNG had 'Time Squared,' 'Yesterday's Enterprise,' maybe 'Remember Me,' 'Future Imperfect,'Cause and Effect,' 'The Inner Light,' 'Time's Arrow,' 'Tapestry,' maybe 'Timescape,' 'Parallels' and 'All Good Things...' I like all of these.

DS9 had 'Crossover,' 'Past Tense,' 'Visionary,' 'Through The Looking Glass,' 'The Visitor,' 'Little Green Men,' maybe 'Hard Time,' 'Shattered Mirror,' Trials and Tribble-ations,' 'Things Past,' 'Children of Time,' 'Far Beyond the Stars,' maybe 'Time's Orphan,' and 'The Emporer's New Cloak.' I like most of these but the mirror universe got old after a couple of episodes. I aren't doing any favours trying to include 'Time's Orphan' really.

I won't list all eps from VOY and ENT, I'm sure the lists just get longer and longer, and more hit and miss. I vote for TNG.

Mirror universe - mostly entertaining
- crossover
- Through the looking glass
- Shattered mirror
Past Tense
Children of time
times orphan
hard time
Don't care for FBTS but can see why most people do.
Trials & Tribblations etc etc etc

DS9 for me as well. The first three mirror universe episodes were good as well.

I'm not a very big fan of TNG, but they did do some time travel episodes well - especially Yesterday's Enterprise.

But DS9 had alot of strong ones too - particularly The Visitor, Far Beyond the Stars, Trials and Tribble-ations, Things Past and Little Green Men.


In fact, I think that the best time travel episode in Trek is probably either Yesterday's Enterprise or The Visitor.

VOY had three really good ones - Year of Hell, Timeless and Shattered.

TOS had Mirror Mirror and City on the Edge of Forever...but while both of these are very good, I think they are also a bit overrated. Very good Trek episodes, to be sure...but IMO not The Best Ever.

ENT makes my hair hurt - especially when I start thinking about the TCW and what a wasted storyline that was. But Twilight was good.

Definitely, for me, the best time-travel/manipulation episode was the TNG's Yesterday's ENT. However, DS9 had more good time-trav episodes, so my vote goes for DS9.

My DS9's favourites (in no particular order):
-> Past tense
-> Trials and Tribble-ations
-> Visitor

Gotta go with the original Star Trek here. Tomorrow Is Yesterday and Assignment: Earth are hard to beat.

The first one was really good, but after that it lost it's freshness to me. Once the federation counterparts were acting like good guys it didn't seem like the mirror universe to me anymore.

None of them did any decent time travel stories after TOS. Not even and most particularly the films with TVH and FC.

I would have to say DS9 because of ones like Children of Time, The Visitor, Trials and several others. Next up would be TNG more or less tied for TOS.

DS9 and Enterprise. Little Green Men and Shockwave are the ones that do it for me.
