Series 7 FINALLY Starts Shooting

I had a dream about K-9 last night. As a child, I was always fascinated by the Doctor having a pet dog. I trul hope we have not seen the last of him. I know he has a series on parts of Europe that we don't get out here, too bad I suppose, if the series is any good.
I sincerely hope the next regular companion is NOT a 21st-century girl/woman.
Have the Doctor find a girl raised by wolves or whatever and he have to teach her how to be human, ala the 4th Doctor and Leela.

Toby Whithouse's script (either episode 3 or 4) is set to be DW's first western since "The Gunfighters".

The last week or so of filming has been mostly about scenes dealing with The Ponds, but Matt's finally showing up in these new photos

From Gallifrey Base:

-Series is planned in to start mid-November
-Amy and Rory will have five episodes
-New companion is introduced in the Christmas Special
Man that's way later then when "Let's Kill Hitler" aired

August 27 2011

Those five episodes are going to have to be REALLY good to offset this hiatus.

You forgot to mention that there are apparently a significant number of missing episodes that were discovered and have been held back for an announcement during the anniversary year.

Hmmm.. Mid-November, gives us 5 episodes before the Christmas Special, that doesn't expressly tell me there's going to be a hiatus? Sure, there may be after the Christmas Special, but, we don't know that? Series 7 hasn't been confirmed as the Anniversary Series, has it? Maybe we'll get Series 7 straight through, and then Series 8 will be the Anniversary Series?

Unless there's something I missed by not clicking a link?

We have no idea how season 7 will be broadcast. There's some evidence that Moffat's thinking of a Merlin-like 13-week run from November to February.

No, but the Anniversary Special is being filmed as part of it according to Matt Smith.

That's a likely course of events. :)

I find this unlikely, because there's no logic to it unless they found something big, like "Tenth Planet" 4. An old episode discovery is neat from an historical perspective, but it's not really relevant to where the program is today and it's not something that, unless BBC decided to throw it up on BBC3, would be anything more than of niche interest.

Sorry. I was referring to the break we're on right now

No easter special

No new episodes till November.

It's the one thing I've been able to verify through a separate source. Which is what led me to post the info on DWS and GB in the first place.

I could see them trying to hold it back if it was a complete previously missing story (as opposed to random episodes of rubbish stories).

But that would most assuredly leak beforehand.

Interesting.

Perhaps they do have something "big," like "Tenth Planet" 4 or "Marco Polo" or "Power of the Daleks" complete, which would make last year's discovery the interesting but unimportant scraps.

Man that's way later then when "Let's Kill Hitler" aired August 27 2011

And that was the second half of the series. Basically we're possibly looking at almost 60 weeks with only one new episode.

***

And given that they'd have to start production very shortly after work on Series 7 finishes, I wouldn't be expecting Series 8 in 2013 unless it's just the first few episodes airing between the Anniversary and Christmas.

Ah, the addition of "Those 5 episodes are going to have to be Really good", suggested to me the belief was that was all we get before a hiatus.
