Series 11 News & Spoilers

Just saw a headline on facebook (From Jodie Whittaker's page) that there will be no Daleks in Season 11. I would say today has been a great day for Doctor Who. I just wish we got a specific air date for the premiere.
What Chibnall actually said is "we have two weeks shooting left, and we haven't used the Daleks..." There's an implication in tone that they won't, but there's an opening for them to do so still - and that two weeks is for the season; the Xmas Special shoots in September, I think.

So I'll be very surprised if there's not at least a Wedding Of River Song style cameo at some point, even if only in the special.

New trailer is up.
Looks like they might be going amnesiac Doctor.

Which is, ironically, close to what I suggested on twitch yesterday. I.e they need to follow the EDA approach, since they have the companion set up for it. XD

Never ever had a problem with accents, but, am hoping she goes little different as time goes on like Capaldi did.

I think I'd miss the Daleks less if the "new" monsters had been less hit-or-miss.

Another trailer is up? Or are you referring to the one released yesterday?

I don't think the doctor has memory loss. Everything is literally new.

-First time the doctor is a woman
-New companions
-New TARDIS on the outside and inside
-New Aliens

Jodie is already a treasure. The new trailer looked great, I can't wait to see more. I'm glad to see the Doctor seem happy again, maybe her run will be a bit more upbeat than recent ones.

I want the new sonic screwdriver. It looks like something she grew out of a piece of the Tardis instead of a manufactured device.
Absolutely. This one goes in my collection for sure.

You don't know until you try. I'm excited we might get something "new". Who knows, they could become the next Dalek.

I don't think anything could be that iconic, but as long as it's good....

They could also revisit an old monster we haven't seen in the nu series. I'm still waiting for Omega to reappear.

No idea. It only just beeped up on my phone.
‘New times’ is what made me wonder.

Nothing can be the next Dalek, the best they could hope for would be Blur to the Daleks Beatles. Less said about Oasis the better. They were trying to be the Beatles.

Still stoked for season 11, but I felt a little underwhelmed by the trailer.

Anyway, this exists:

Well if the ratings slide, or are equal to Capaldi's, don't be surprised if they trod out some old baddies to try to bring in those older fans who may have not been interested. I heard many say they weren't interested in Capaldi's Doctor until they brought in the classic Cybermen from the tenth planet. So there's a bit of the Whovian fan base who have left after Tenant, certainly after Smith, and some who came back just at the end of Capaldi's run. Who knows what the new series will do in terms of viewership. Personally, I don't care either way. My focus is mainly on tech watch, and Gallifrey stuff. I haven't really cared about the show's story since the 50th anniversary and a one off interest in Hell Bent.
