Wasn't there some controversy over the colour of Matt Smith's TARDIS and it turned out the prop is coloured so that it looks right filmed in HD but that makes it slightly off in standard RGB photos?
Ahhh...suddenly everything makes sense.Yeah, I say controversy but it was a GallifreyBase thread so it could have been an empty coffee cup prop and they'd have kicked off like the stars had aligned and Great Cthulhu was risen from Ry'leh.
I'm wondering the same thing. And if that's the case, then that probably means The Doctor has less control of where the TARDIS goes in time and space, which I can only see as a good thing. I'm so tired of The Doctor being able to go anywhere and anywhen at a drop of a dime. Somewhere, somewhen, Tegan is yelling. That "we're finally home!" quote is interesting - is Chibbers planning on an Ian/Barbara or Ben/Polly dynamic? With Walsh's character as an outsider Jamie-like figure?
I'm also looking forward to that dynamic. Multi-companion crews have often been my favorites and I'm sorry we've largely haven't had that aside from Amy and Rory and we haven't had three companions since Nyssa, Tegan and Turlough (and I sure love the Big Finish reunion of those three). The First and Second Doctors were the only ones with three companions as a rule rather than an exception, apart from Five. Nine had one ep with Rose, Jack and Mickey but Mickey wasn't officially a companion until he joined up with Ten at the end of School Reunion.
Reading some of the tweets, I felt like she's the Doctor, not just playing her. I can't wait for the series.
