September 08 Challenge-The Saga

is that 20,000 characters including spaces or not?

and a fixed word count would be a hell of a lot more helpful than a 'character count'...

I use word. When posting Lost Kingdom it gave me an error message saying "Exceeds 20,000 character limit". Basically, if it fits in a single post its fine, if it bleeds into a second its too long. Consider it a challenge in creative editing...

Seriously, I just barely went over 3500 words for the story so I think you can post up to that.

Damn it anyway.

I have the perfect idea for this month's challenge. Not only would it make a good story, but it would plug an annoying hole in canon.

But the well of inspiration has run dry once again.

Looks like I'll have to pass on this one. :(

Month ain't over yet! (I hope - I'm still trying to write mine!)

I'd hate like hell for Calhoun to win. Um, by default, I mean. Surely someone has a saga in them?

Monday is the 29th and I'm on PST-you got till midnight Tuesday the 30-then I post the poll(assuming there are enough entries).

I'm working on a short-story, but I'm not sure if it meets the "saga" qualifications. If I get it finished in time, I may submit it.

I had a few ideas rattling around in my head but unfortunately I'm spending all my time trying to finish off the last episode of Vesta (so frustrated at the moment I am considering just writing "And then the ship blew up and they all died. THE END") so I just won't have the opportunity.

It was a good challenge idea though, Mistral.

Have you thought about ending Vesta with a saga?
