is that 20,000 characters including spaces or not?
and a fixed word count would be a hell of a lot more helpful than a 'character count'...

I use word. When posting Lost Kingdom it gave me an error message saying "Exceeds 20,000 character limit". Basically, if it fits in a single post its fine, if it bleeds into a second its too long. Consider it a challenge in creative editing...

Damn it anyway.
I have the perfect idea for this month's challenge. Not only would it make a good story, but it would plug an annoying hole in canon.
But the well of inspiration has run dry once again.
Looks like I'll have to pass on this one.

I'm working on a short-story, but I'm not sure if it meets the "saga" qualifications. If I get it finished in time, I may submit it.

I have plenty of confidence in your ability-I've read and enjoyed most every single one of them.
I had a few ideas rattling around in my head but unfortunately I'm spending all my time trying to finish off the last episode of Vesta (so frustrated at the moment I am considering just writing "And then the ship blew up and they all died. THE END") so I just won't have the opportunity.
